I thought I may as well start a new thread for this one, and as people get them we can chat about 'em.

I've been checking mine out. At the moment the batts are charging for their inaugural 8 hours.

It seems to be the same battery that you can see here but e-v's unit does not use the eGo tank. It has an atty that looks like the eGo Mega atty in conjunction with a cart that closely resembles the SmartTank carts.

The atty fits a regular eGo batt but doesn't accept a regular mega cart, nor a standard cart. It "fits" an eGo tank cart, but of course it isn't designed to work with one since it doesn't use a needle (uses a bridge, like the mega atty).

I did some digging online and I think the manufacturer calls it an "e-firefly". It's kinda neat cuz you can see the batt charge from the color changes on it, and it's a flashlight too. Blue - 75 -100% , Green - 50 - 75%, Yellow - 25- 50%, Red - 0-25%

I went with the silver 900 mAh but they have black, and 650. My kit has two of those cool batts, two attys, and 5 carts.

I couldn't help myself...had to get it. It's like when you smell a fresh cuppa coffee. These things were right off the truck, and exclusive to e-v (or at least they're the first in Canada to get em) and I got caught up. :p

Forgive the noobie question, but the battery fits regular 510 and Ego atties rights? Like I could just order the battery and use my existing hardware right?

Yes, it does fit 510, which I like very much. However, they only have the complete kits at this time. At least I think so, cuz when I asked about extra atties, I was told that they didn't have "parts" at this time. It's a great gift idea (for yourself). :)

Haha... That's what happened last night when I was comparing the Torch atty to the eGo T atty - I was using my iPhone as a flashlight. Kat took the Torch battery and turned on the flashlight for me. Show-off.

I also apparently ended up with a Torch. My BF - WHO DOES NOT SMOKE OR VAPE - bought a kit because he liked the pretty lights. ~sigh~

Don't get me started on his toys...

There is currently a chopper frame in the middle of my living room (he swears he's going to finish the damn thing and get it out in the next couple months... I'm not holding my breath). He has another 6 or 7 bikes in pieces in the basement. His Harley and Triumph are in the neighbour's garage... in addition to my Hummer and his truck, there is an '87 Firebird and a '53 Mercury Stepside in the driveway (another restoration he has yet to start).

A couple days ago he took me to look at the new toy hauler he wants (apparently ours is no longer good enough)... and today he was showing me pics of a new Harley he's interested in. I finally had to tell him NO - Sell SOMETHING first.

Okay... you got me started.

Hey Alberta,

Got my Torch today and it's on the charger for 8 hours ... 4 1/2 to go LOL

So being very new to vaping and the fact that I started with a 510 ... how do you fill the cartridge?? syringe?? There never seems to be enough info for newbies :)

Also, can I buy an extra ego charger for this battery?

Compared to the 510 that atty is HUGE LOL

Thans for the help :)

Yes, the instructions for this battery (as well as for regular eGos) is to keep it charging for 8 hours for the initial charging session, even though the light is green on the charger. For subsequent charges you don't need to leave it on that long.

I think the consensus is that the 8 hours is leftover literature from the old Ni-Cad battery days. These new batteries do not have memory issues.

I have never given any PV battery an 8 hour charge, and have never had any battery problems.
