The day finally arrived.... I received my ProVari. I am sure my mailman is very happy it is now here. I was driving him crazy.
It came very well packed. I opened the package with the joy of a child on Christmas morning. When I unwrapped it from the bubble wrap, I was in awe. What a beautiful piece of machining. I got the extra 18650 end cap so I could use both size batteries. The fit and finish was fantastic. The end caps go on so smoothly. I do think I will get a little Nolox (sp?) just to keep the threads well lubricated.
One of the batteries had enough charge on it to use the PV right away, so I wasted no time in getting it loaded up. Used a 2.6 ohm XL Clearomizer for the first vape. Wow.... Amazing..... Plumes of vapor, the button was quite easy to push, and very well located. I fiddled with the different voltages and there definitely is a difference that can be noted. I never would have imagined that one tenth of a volt would make a difference, but I now know it to be true. It's so nice to be able to "tune in" my voltage to the atty or cartomizer I'm using. I also tried a Joye eGo 510 atomizer @ 2.5 ohms to try out a little dripping. Again, it worked flawlessly.
The device has good heft.... you certainly know you have something in your hand. And when you put in the 18650, you REALLY know you are holding something. But, it's not too much weight. I actually like the weight -- it reminds me that I have something in my hand. (I have trouble with feeling in my hands due to nerve damage)
Setting up the PV was a breeze. The display is very easy to read. I was a little concerned about the button pushing, but is is so simple now that I've done it a few times. It's become second nature. It's so cool being able to check the atty ohms, battery voltage, and change voltage output so easily. You can tell that a lot of thought went into this device.
I can't say enough about how happy I am with the ProVari. ProVape has hit a home run as far as I'm concerned. This is definitely the finest VV mod I've seen or used. The quality and workmanship is super, and I can not say enough about their fantastic customer service. I sent quite a few emails asking questions before ordering, and each one was answered patiently and promptly. Never did they give me the impression that I was bothering them with some of my petty questions.
I can recommend this PV with no qualms whatsoever. I have no complaints with it. You will not be disappointed if you buy one even with the minor wait time involved, it is well worth it. Thank you ProVape for producing such a fine, high quality product.
As a little aside ---- I let my wife try it and a fight almost ensued. She did not want to give it back, so I foresee another order in the near future. Only problem is she wants a blue one. Hmmm.... wonder if I can get ProVape to make a blue ProVari????
