I am extremely interested in this product. I check digitalciggz ALL THE TIME but it is NEVER in stock!

Does anyone know why they never have them or when more will become available?

Short answer is that they're never in stock because they're not available and as for when they will be, well... they won't be available at any time in the foreseeable future.

I paid for one months in advance and before mine was shipped they recalled all of them and canceled all the presale orders. They had several problems with them and decided to keep working on it rather than release an inferior product, which I can respect. I really wanted one though.

A very ambitious, really well thought out vaping machine. I sincerely hope they can sort out whatever QC and/or technical issues which led to the recall and market a successful product, because at the end of the day, the only cost incurred by their prospective customers was some dashed expectations.

I would be interested, if it looked good and wasnt so damn expensive . I think its a good idea and as vaping progresses more and more products like this will spring up tho

I highly suggest to not wait or buy one before the second gen. They wanted to release it when in April? shipped the first once in august and as XDoc said recalls right away for that amount of money I rather wait for the second gen to be sure my money is well invested. Great unit but to me for $300+ it must work 100% every single time without any issues.

I respect them for recalling the thing. That action likely had a severely detrimental effect on their cashflow. It is an incredibly ambitious project, so hiccups are likely to happen. It sort of says a lot about the state of our industry. We're full of big Chinese manufacturers and then smaller outfits like DC. The Chinese companies can be sort of hit and miss from quality, and the small companies are incredibly passionate, but lack the massive resources. Something as complex as the EQ requires a great deal of engineering and testing to get right.

I certainly hope they can get the project back on track, but it is a case study in how difficult it is to produce something outside of the ordinary on a small scale.

It is expensive, but as far as how it looks?........I dunno, there are really only two -more or less- directly competititve models. One closely resembles an LED flashlight and the other looks just like a digital tire guage.

I agree, All VV mods look horrid. Thats why I dont have one, I just change batteries if I want dif volts, altho 3.7 on 1.5-2.0 ohms seems to be better than everything (imo). And I dont care much for hot vapor anyways. And just because everything else looks bad dosent mean the EQ looks good, just means they are all bad looking lol

I guess my point, is that they don't look any more horrible than most tools and that's really what they are, anyway. The EQ has a chubby guitar vibe. Whatever. What really matters, is if the device in question comfortably fits in the hand and reliably delivers on its' features with good battery life. One of the things that puzzles me about the current crop of high-end devices, is the total lack of grippy/high friction surface treatments on any of them. The Provari looks like it was designed to topple over and roll off a table. That can't happen with the rectangular Darwin, but the judicious use of some grippy materials would make both of them more secure in the hand, far more comfortable to use outside in cold weather and offer some protection against damage resulting from drops.

Just gave me a wicked idea for a mod accessory, now to find a seamstress that has experience with ballistic nylon and elastic.
