One month after vaping I thought it would go away, but it hasn't. My heart beat so fast in the morning, I wake up feeling tired. When I started vaping I have 36mg nic juice ready to curb my urge of smoking and I sometimes ended up vaping that most of the evening after dinner. After two weeks the urge after dinner isn't as much and I have drop to 24mg for the most part and 18mg at night and my heart still pounds so fast when I wake up.

So I'd like to know from people who don't have this problem ..... Do you vape until you go to bed? Or do you stop an hour before bed? I don't feel like this at night and I vape until I'm going to bed. I thought 18mg would fix it but I'm exhausted when I wake up and it's hard to vape in the morning. However, that feeling goes away within 2 hours after I wake up. Anyone in this category?

I vape until i go to bed for sure (my PV sleeps next to me ;) ). The fast heart beating in the morning doesn't seem to be from vaping -- it shouldn't affect you after about 5 minutes of the draw. Are you having palpitations? My advice: Don't vape for 3 hours before you go to bed and if you can't, take only 1 puff. See what the results are in the morning. If it's the same, you might want to try not vaping for an entire day and see how you feel the next morning. Like i said, i don't think this is from vaping if the nic never bothered you from cigarettes. Good luck and i hope you find out what's causing that. It could honestly be anything from lack of oxygen in your bedroom.

Nic absorption from vaping is much slower than smoking in general. Even 18 mg is high for some people, and if it is lingering in the mouth and throat, it can affect sleeping. Not sure about the morning heart tac though. I take it you didn't have this problem smoking analogs.

Too much nic before bed, whether it is vaping or with snus, can strongly affect my sleep. Nic in the mouth is trickling into the system over a long period, unlike smoking where it all goes to the lungs and into the system very quickly, and thus is metabolized and eliminated also quicker than vaping or snus. Remember vaping is mostly absorbed orally, not in the lungs. I would try lower nic, like 12 mg or less, right before bed, or avoid vaping entirely an hour or so before bed. I would also try brushing teeth or rinsing your mouth out then. After I brush my teeth for bed, I generally do not vape and definitely do not use snus until the next day.

Another issue could be a reaction to quitting smoking, as there are other psychoactive compounds in tobacco smoke that can be part of the smoking addiction...which is why I use snus sometimes. Swedish snus only...american snus is not as healthy and is too sweet for me. Quitting smoking is often rather tough on the system used to the cigarette compounds...many many side effects besides nic withdrawal are common.

And if it keeps up, it could be a heart problem and you should see a doctor. There is general heart problems in my family, like irregular or fast beating. I take Co-Q10 for this with very good results. Just a thought. Good luck!

You might want to read this site-

What are Symptoms of Nicotine Withdrawal?

I'm not going to try to diagnose what could be happening, but don't necessarily think it's the vaping. I can't imagine the effects of vaping late at night lasting 6-8 hours. Some of the comments on the site are amazing. Some are months/years into quiting and still suffering.

As Kurt mentioned, there are other alkaloids in tobacco and some of us need them to level out. I vaped for seven months and reduced a 2-3 pack a day habit to 6 cigs a day after smoking for 43 years. I started smoking more and looked for help. I too found Swedish snus which finally leveled me out. I haven't had a puff in 9.5 now and don't have any desire. Not saying you should look at that right now, but something to think about.

Smoking cigarettes won't tell you much. IMHO. If the racing has something to do with what you're not getting from your E Cig, that you got from cigarettes, you'll just convince yourself it was the E cig. If I were you and it kept up, either change you night schedule and/or see a doctor. Good luck.

I suffer from hypertension. On those days I over did the analogs, I'd go to bed feeling my heart beating too hard and wake up with it doing the same thing. It only stopped after I took my meds for the day.

With Vaping, I've never had the problem.

Try some of the ideas already mentioned, but I also advise that you go see your doctor!!! Pronto.
