Doing my research.trying to decide if DIY is some thing I want to get into.

The reason I am looking into it is because I am finding that even the best of juice vendors liquid can taste impure. more like perfume or chem-ish.

My question is if I were to get into DIY are there High vs low quality VG,PG and nicotine?

Im looking for the best quality ingredients for the purest tasting vapor. What do I need to know?

I feel sure that everyone will have a different opinion on this but I think the natural and organic flavors from here are the highest quality that I have seen Nature's Flavors : Organic Flavor Concentrates I like Now Foods VG and for PG as long as it is USP I have not noticed a difference. Hope that helps.

Nature's Flavors is hit and miss in terms of flavor quality, and in the sense of being 'pure' they are actually the opposite depending on what you mean. Since they are organic extracts, they have more components in the flavoring, which can be good in some cases, but not always. If you want simple liquid with few ingredients but not single ones like eugenol or PA's molecules, the most basic is probably PA's cinnamon redhots, which only has cinnamaldehyde and eugenol for flavor.

Liv2Ski, the strengths vary a lot depending on the particular flavor (more than FA does).

i'm under the belief that MOST flavor concentrates are giving off a chemical or flora flavor due to having the percentage to high. An example based on my experience would be TPA's raspberry. This flavor is so strong even at 1% flavoring it can overwhelm other flavors. At 5% i start getting a slight chemical sting on some of my taste buds. At 10%......Dont think i've ever dumped a batch of juice down the drain so quickly. While everyones tastes are different and 10% for some might be heaven or to weak, you have to DIY based on your taste. If you mix something up that has a flora or chemical flavor try less.

I avoid lorann's flavors, they contain a lot of artificial dye's and most of their fruit flavors for me are chemically at any % i use.
TPA for me is having a great track record, i've only encountered a few of the flavors i didnt care for, and most of their fruit flavors are spot on as long as you find your percentage. Flavor art is sometimes a bit hard to come by, but there are a few vendors that sell a wide assortment ^^ Nikhil for example (and they come in adorable little bottles!). Their flavors that i've tried are pretty solid and dont require much. Flavor west i cant comment on yet, still waiting for my package. Those are the top flavor companies that i can think of off the top of my head.

So to wrap it up, every company has their strengths (even Lorann's), its all about finding your percentage, not someone elses.

SMK,

That perfumey smell is in some flavorings. I've tried several different vendors and there's no way of avoiding it when DIYing too. The ones I have found it in were several tea flavors, white grape and a couple tobaccos. Most flavorings don't have it though! Of the 80 or so I have here, maybe 5 have that perfumey smell.
