I just got it yesterday. It's very lightweight, lighter than the GLV. It hits harder than the GLV, too (well at first on the freshly charged batt, now the light is blue and it's getting to where I can take a longer drag).

It came with 2 sets of 3V batts. I've been using the same set since last night, so I don't know how long it's gonna last yet. Love the button. It's like the lazer mod button. I don't think there would be a problem with it going off in a purse or pocket unless it was specifically pressed really hard against something. Only issue I have is cosmetic in that the atty connector is gold and the end cap is silver. I like this atty connector better than the GLV's, which I've had issues with.

Someone else pointed out that they don't like that it doesn't have a juice reservoir, but that doesn't bother me.

I got the purple one and I love the color. I might just have to take some pics tonight when I get home from work!

I was the one that overly dripped and got the juice all over the outside. With that being said, I really like this unit, I also have a Prodigy V2 that I use at 6 volts. My Joker is the black colored model, it's alot lighter in weight than the Prodigy and I get stronger hits off the Joker. I'm really liking the button, it's really easy to push when it's intentional, but you don't have to worry about it going off while it's in your pocket. I still think it's a little over priced but definately a fine PV mod.

nice!

i was hoping you'd give a little review or pics on the Joker. it's definitely been put on my wish list as my first 5v mod. i've got child-sized hands too so it's nice to see what it might look like in my hand. ;) the color looks fantastic too!

I agree, I am loving it. Yeah, it was a little pricey, but totally worth it IMO, especially considering the safety features.

vip, I hope you do get this. You definitely won't regret it!

i got mine earlier this week, and its my 2nd PV, first was a tornado/ego, and now the joker, it hits awsome, love the built, the button takes a very good solid press to activate, the only thing i would like to ask fellow owners is,

1. how long does your batterys last You?
2. how long does the blue (low batt light) last you once it starts turning blue?
3. i placed a LR atty on mine to SEE the cut off feature, and well it blew my atty and didnt shut off like in the youtube videos??
4. atty connector was all brass color when i got it, now the outside has started to turn sliver? is that normal? inside is still brass color.
5. and after a while with the blue light, ill press the button, blue light comes on for a half second, i keep it pressed and i can still vape even when there is NO light ON? though i stop and swap the batterys before i get to this point.
and last how long do you let your batterys charge? my green light (on charger) will come on like after 2 hours, but the batterys dont seem to last as long if i let it sit longer in the chrarger.

Got mine in last week but just got back in town late Friday and it was waiting on me.
My first tought was it is lite, put in the batteries and started dripping it and loved the 5V vape.

I Have one of the PVPT and the Quality is excellent and use it all day at work and on long raod trips for about 5-6 months now and have never had a problem.

Problem: After using it for about 1 hr. today it started killing attys. Killed 3- DSE-510 and 1- Joye 510 in about 30 minutes..... I'm ......! afraid to stick my last on it until I can get ahold of someone at VaprLife. The DSE atties are only $5 ea. and the Joye are $9-10. I have always had good luck with the DSE-510 atty's on my 5V box mod.

I have had the same DSE-510 Atty on my PVPT for at least 3 weeks with no problem.(heavy vaping)

Hopefully its just defective and they can fix it. (ordered 4 more LifePo4 batteries for it this morning while the first atty died.)

Paco, I'll try to answer some of the questions.. First off the battery life is different depending on how much a person vapes. When I vape heavily, I can drain the batteries in about 3hrs. My brass color is still the same as the day I got mine. I haven't tried a LR atty so I can't comment on that. My opinion from watching the video it seemed to me that the light was on an awful long time for it not to blow a LR atty. My guess on the vape after the blue light goes out, is that it was on long enough to get the coil hot enough to produce some vapor and it continues to produce until it colls down some. Batteries are fully charged when it turns green, it doesn't make any difference if you pull them off the charger or leave them on.

SSOD, I think it could be the luck of the draw on the attys, I've had some blow really quick and thought maybe I let it get too dry, then I've had some last long, long times. I come more close to blaming the atty than the unit seeing that I also vape at 6 volts and only have anything like that happen occasionally.

Edit: I see what you mean on it still vaping after the light going out. I tested this and it was still getting some power to the atty after the blue light goes out. This is raising the question about the protection circuit as well. Although I haven't tested this part yet, might have to ask this question at vaprlife to the maker.

1. how long does your batterys last You? It lasts me all day. I vape it for just a little bit when it turns blue, then recharge the batts.
2. how long does the blue (low batt light) last you once it starts turning blue? I haven't tested this out yet. I will today.
3. i placed a LR atty on mine to SEE the cut off feature, and well it blew my atty and didnt shut off like in the youtube videos?? I'll have to test this out today, too.
4. atty connector was all brass color when i got it, now the outside has started to turn sliver? is that normal? inside is still brass color. Mine is still all brass
5. and after a while with the blue light, ill press the button, blue light comes on for a half second, i keep it pressed and i can still vape even when there is NO light ON? though i stop and swap the batterys before i get to this point. Again, haven't got to this point yet
and last how long do you let your batterys charge? my green light (on charger) will come on like after 2 hours, but the batterys dont seem to last as long if i let it sit longer in the chrarger. I take mine out immediately when the light turns green. I don't want to let them overcharge.

As far as attys blowing. When I got it, I also got 4 new Joye 510s. They were all harsher than usual in the "break in" period, but now they've settled to where I don't get that harsh taste. I didn't overwork them, I just rotated them and took a couple puffs on each until they settled down. I did try some of my older atty that I thought were dying, and they have been brought back to life using the Joker. I did blow one atty, but I removed the wick from it, so that may have had something to do with it. But now all attys are working great, just took that break in period.

Edit: My blue light came on and it lasted about an hour longer and then quit completely. I couldn't vape at all after it went out. Still gotta try the LR atty now.

see thats what i wanted to know, tasteles you and I can "still" vape even when there is NO light and redgirl Cant. and about the battery life i see that it is normal, (seeing as this is my first device that is using these types of batts) mine last me a full day, so if i put fresh ones in at noon then the next day around noon ill have to place new charged ones in.

careful if you put a LR atty on, i blew my only one and it was what made me know that i would never smoke analogs again, this atty also lasted me about 30 days, what happen was the joker never ever turned OFF, even after blowing the atty, so do this at your own risk.

Tasteles, let me know what vaprlife says about still getting power to the atty with no light on, if it means having to send it in for a new one or to get it fix, then i will, because that was the reason i decided to get the Joker as my 2nd PV, Too Be Safe.

I've startted having other problems with mine tooday. Sometimes when I hit the button the ight isn't lighting up but it still produces vapor. Sometimes the light comes on after a second or two of pushig the button. I haven't tried the LR atty to check protection. I think I',m gonna wait till after I chat with the VaprLife to see what they say about it. They are on vacation till the June 1st so guess I'll see what happens then.

After posting last night, the light on mine quit working copletely but was still vaping. This morning light was still not woring, then after a while it started working again. Now I know I'm a heavy vaper, but it had been less than a week since I got it. I won't be able to send it in for repairs for 3 more weeks. I work on a boat!

Redgirl, I take it your LR atty did not blow either, looks like you got a good one. I'll contact VaprLife tomorrow to make arangments to get mine repaired. Oh I see you're sporting a new avatar showing off your Joker, nice!

Warning:

My Joker's light had quit working again earlier. Just a few minutes ago I took a hit from it with the light not lighting, and after I released the button, it stayed fired up. I noticed the vapor coming out of the tip and took a draw to find it was still lit. I quickly unscrewed the atty and hit the button a few times then the light started working again and it powered off. Lesson learned, don't keep using it if it's not working properly!
