The joys of making and breaking habits

Our Volts arrived yesterday, and already funny adventures and misadventures have happened with them; you don't realize how much habits control you until certain parts of them need to change:

  • My wife and I both cracked our windows when pulling out our respective Volts on the way home.
  • My wife tried to flick ashes off of hers out the window
  • I caught myself about to tap mine against an ashtray

And perhaps funniest of all, I'm an early riser and am often up and about before dawn (especially in fall/winter). My batteries are both black and, without turning on a light and potentially waking up other members of my family, I couldn't find them. So, I had an analog instead. It was only about halfway through my first cup of coffee that I realized I probably could have used the light from the lighter to find the Volt without waking anybody up!

Ah, adventures in vaping...

 Well congrats on making the switch. I use Volts myself and have found them very good. I did once instinctively reach to flick "ash" out of the car window too.
And I did once pick up an ecig and have a few moments of looking for a lighter. And that was after I'd quite smoking for some days.
The physical habits are quite ingrained aren't they.
