Hi to all! I'm a new vaper from one week. I bought my first ecigarette, an e-go L with the sturdust (e-go v3 ce4) as clearomizer ( Vision eGo Clearomizer - V3 (Long Wicks, aka CE4 or Stardust) - MyFreedomSmokes.com ). The wick in my clearomizer model can't be change. i know that many wicks are made of glass fiber or any other cancerogen materials. I'm scared about this so i'm asked if someone know the exact material of the wick of my clearomizer is made. Can anybody help me? Thanks you so much. Sorry for my english and the stupid question (for the expert) but i'm a fresh new vaper.......are there clearomizers surely not toxic compatible with my ecigarette? Thanks you! bye

Hello and Welcome to ECF, Unamacchietta. :)

First before we begin this debate lets understand one thing, Nothing in this world is 100% safe.
Your Silica wicks are by far safer than your tobacco cigarette.
The silca wicks you find in clearomisers are safe, so long as you keep the wicks wet and avoid dry hits as much as possible.

Secondly, there have been no known studies to prove one way or the other that silica in the form we use it, is detrimental to your lungs or that they are carcinogenic. I think you are thinking more along the lines of Crystalline Silica Dust.

If you feel that you don't like or would rather avoid silca wicks you can swap over to cotton or bamboo thread/ cord as an alternative. However as written previously this is not 100% safe as there have been no studies on this either.

I use cotton in my vivi's and mesh in my rba's.
The reason: I find that my throat gets scratchy and uncomfortable with silca wicks, I prefer using cotton. In rba's I have tried both Mesh and Ceramic wicks both are exceptional for me.
