BV (before vaping) my morning drive from the burbs into Toronto was a ritual of 2 small cigars (Colts) and my XL Tim Horton's coffee. Put my brain in neutral, listen to CBC and hope none of the other "entitled Ontario drivers" would do something that required that "moment of terror" often referred to by airline pilots. The only issue that would ever come up was the disapproving stare / disgusted glare at me smoking.

Now that's all changed.

For those who see or watch vaping is an activity performed by aliens or druggies.

I'm interested in the reactions out there on your commute or on the highway

Most people are zombies when they drive, anyway!

It's rare to have a person react to vaping. I guess they are so accustomed to seeing strange sights in other people's cars.

People in Toronto must be starving for stimulus lots of second looks, especially smokers.

Lately I've been getting looks and questions thinking my Reo is a "pipe".

Guess I live an uneventful life.

Now with summer here my GGTS is getting lots of sun, and unwanted attention from the common motorist and paserby while I'm stopped at a red light. I guess it's pretty sad when the highlight of my day is watching the person in the car next to me look over and mouth the words "What the...?" as they see the GGTS.

Well, in all fairness, a GGTS is a really shiny PV. Might be the glare as well.

It's the glare for sure! With the top down, the GGTS is a sun magnet. No matter how you hold it, somebody somewhere will see a reflection. I thought about trying to cover it up, but figured that would only make it worse because then it would look like I was slurping Night Train through a straw out of a paper bag!

I think I've only had one double-take from another motorist so far.

Then again, she could've just been awed by the sight of my rugged, masculine profile behind the wheel of my ever-so-sexy Dodge Grand Caravan. ;)

I hear that a lot about the Caravans, that`s why I`m afraid of them. I don`t want to risk it and make sure I always take the car with the sunroof. :p

I get a lot of folks that stare so hard at the red light that they miss when it turns and end up getting honked at by everyone else, while I speed off laughing maniacally :D

The other day at a light there was a family in the car ahead of me and the father, who was driving, saw me in his side mirror. He must have said something like "Look, kids! That's the scum of society behind us poisoning you air!" or something because the two teenaged kids turned around their little heads and stared the entire way down the highway. Literally like 5 minutes. I was laughing so hard that eventually one of them got really embarrassed and flustered and turned around.

These are only a couple of my fun stories :D

I was going through some road construction and almost caused some issues because most of them were staring point and talking about the SS LT that was currently making the car looked hotboxed because I rolled the windows up to stop the dust and smell coming in.

I just nodded and opened up the window when out of it and let the cloud roll out :D

Especially if there is a car seat in the back!

Meg runs a daycare out of our house, so we've got four or five, usually. We've only got two kids ourselves. I got some really odd looks when I went to purchase four car seats after our previous van got written off.

Wasn't a serious accident. Someone opened their car door and took out our front-passenger side when Meg was slowing for a stop sign. A literal fender-bender, and the damage was astronomical. Those front-ends are costly. The other guy was apparently really shaken, but ok. I'm really glad he wasn't one of those who just pushed his door open and got out with one move.

I had fun the other day when I was stopped within eyesight of two cops in a cop car. Just took some deep vapes and looked right at them. They stared, with that look of "what exactly is she smoking" but didn't pursue the issue.

Driving standard without a tank is not recommended.

I've wondered if they might mistake a lava tube or other such PV for a weapon...Any police officers out there?
