I know some people like a tobacco-coffee blend in the morning (I think one is called Wake-up juice?). I don't quite understand why since you are already drinking coffee which is a strong taste.

I'm a tea drinker, not a coffee drinker. I have a spare battery for each of my models and I use cartomizers. Late night I put all of my day stuff on the chargers and put the cartos on my overnight batteries. Then I don't have to "decide" which is my last drag, don't screw with chargers right before bed, don't have to assemble anything to get my morning vape. And I just vape the heck out of them when I wake up haha - my normal 2 contrasting flavors (a cocoa tobacco and a sweet vanilla, picking up whichever I feel will hit the spot at that moment)

If you like tobaccos, I've heard Halocigs has some nice ones, many are fans of Vaporstation Tampa, FreedomSmokeUSA has a ton of tobaccos (though 1/2 or more are specialties and only available 50/50 which I won't put in a carto), many like NiteLiteVapor Bounty Hunter. My satisfaction is tied to cocoa tobacco (currently one with almost no tobacco taste - Vapor4Life WOWbacco) though in the beginning the tobacco I settled on (after trying a dozen or more) was nutty somewhat pungent Turkish blends Like FreedomSmokeUSA DesertShip (which many say smells like a freshly opened pack of smokes - the office and fiance did not appreciate that aroma)

Hi there...you mentioned that you would not put 50/50 in your carto...I think that is what you mean vg/pg...My question is why?

Yeah 50/50 is refering to PG/VG. I never really thought about it till now when you posted VG/PG, but when people are talking about ratios of juices the PG is generally listed first. Like when people say 80/20 they are referring to 80%PG / 20%VG. Not sure why, but Just thought id add that so you never get confused.

Going on, PG is thin (more like water), while VG is thicker (more like a syrup). So juices with a high VG content are generally pretty thick. Putting a thick juice in a carto normally shortens the life ofthe carto. It clogs it up quicker and restricts airflow, and also gunks up the coil quicker. It also doesnt wick as quickly.
Vg also though produces more vapor, while PG produces more throat hit. Thats why many people like a combination of the two, like 80/20, 70/30, 50/50, etc

You can def put a thicker juice in a carto, it just normally wont last as long.
The biggest thing that I would try to stay away from though is juices with sediments in them. Ive noticed that those juices by far clog up cartos the quickest, even if its a mostly PG juice.
I use a 85% VG juice alot that is thick as well as a thin 80% PG juice. The PG juice has sediments and clogs up my cartos MUCH quicker than the 85% VG that doesnt have sediments.
Dark or cloudy juices clog cartos quicker too and are sometimes the ones that have sediments in them

Hi there...I pretty much understand what you are saying...about the ratio and thickness of the juices...but it was mentioned not to put 50/50 into the carto...is it because of the pg or the vg...that is what I did not understand...it does not have to be because of the carto...there could be another explanation why...very interested?

Hi dormouse!

I have a question about your statement that you will not put 50/50 mix in your cartos.
I was wondering why?
I'm still learning.

:vapor:

Thanks!

That is exactly my question also...I have not come close to figuring out what kind of mix, I figure there is a profound reason or just personal preference. I going to say personal preference, but I might be wrong.

Thats why I was explaining in the other post altittle about the 2. Everyone has their preference and youll have to find what works for you. 80/20 is a poular ratio but there are many many other combinations of ratios that people like. I like 80/20 and 70/30 generally bc its thinner and wicks better in my cartos

I usually vape something with vanilla or whatever works with the coffee, or a decent mild, slightly sweet tobacco. Its usually more about what I think goes with the coffee and less about the flavor. I find the first couple of pulls off the PV in the morning are a little hard and my taste buds are still waking up, so strong is good!!! I like VR4 or RAWR sweet pipe and sometimes ecig express's Premium tobacco or Dark City Mountain 55. Also, when I had it, I really enjoyed Mom and Pops tobacco dolce which is sorta hard to describe, but tastes I guess like a desert tobacco. What I am looking for now is an espresso tobacco combination.

Thank you Rob for pointing out the PG/VG!

I wasn't thinking about the priority of the PG at all while typing; but, NOW THAT YOU MENTION IT...LOL!

QUESTION: If I have 50/50, 7 ml e-liquid, approximately how many drops of PG do you think I should add to get the optimal ratio?

I've not had any problems with my cartomizers so far, but I usually drop them in a cup of VERY HOT WATER weekly (the ones I am using a lot) and just let them sit until the water is cool.
This has worked well, as I can see when I look into the cup.
I then rinse under a thin stream of water from the faucet so that I can see that a stream of water is coming through the bottom hole of my atty or carto.
At that point, I blow the excess water out and let them dry.
This prevents the gunk that over-heats and tastes bad.
Also, I am careful not to overheat my atty or carto or burn when dry.
So far, this has worked well for me.

Because it's thick and it clogs up cartomizers faster than juice with less VG.

Oh do I ever know how you feel!!! That one and the one after a meal were the best EVER! I'm still pretty new to this and searching for that all day, wonderful vape that will satisfy all my cravings. I'm hoping that with time I will find that coffee or chocolate or something that makes me forget how much I miss smoking at those times, I know its out there....

The higher the PG percentage, the better the throat hit. For some - including me - throat hit is critically important, especially first thing in the morning. For at least the first year I'd vape Keoke Coffee 36mg or 24mg with extra flavor from MyFreedomSmokes with my morning coffee because it was strong and hard-hitting. Now I start the day with WowCoffee in 24mg from Vapor4Life but I still vape the Keoke Coffee later in the day.
