So what exactly is it that makes them so different? I have several different mods, mostly paired with different tanks. Some of them can at times kick out a good amount of vapor, and some flavor. Although somewhat muted as tanks can be. But I do also have a magma, which produces lots of vapor and flavor.
However, nothing even comes close to the nice THICK vapor that I get from my Reo. How does this little powerhouse do it, and do it so well?:)

I don't know that the Reo pumps out more vapor. I have a pretty good collection of tube mods and drippers, and all of them do the job. The thing about the Reo that sets it apart is the consistency. With the bottom feed concept, there is always exactly the correct amount of juice at the coil, as long as the user squonks properly, and the juice at the coil is always fresh. With conventional dripping, there's always the possibility of over dripping (flooding), and partially cooked juice laying around in the base.

I like that. It makes sense. Love your grey.:)

Thank you. I actually have 2 Greys. They certainly make life entertaining.
The other thing about the Reo is how easy they are to use. Compared to a Reo, conventional dripping is a PITA. But I didn't realize what a PITA it was, until I got my first Reo. Just yesterday, I was sitting around watching football, and decided to get out one of my tube mods. It was a Nemesis, with a Magma on top. I only used it for a couple ml of juice, before it was back in the rack. Unscrew the cap, drip into the well, screw on the cap, vape a bit, unscrew the cap, drip more juice, screw on the cap....on and on. Nice vape, no doubt about it; but total PITA, compared to just squonking the Reo every couple puffs.

Truth of the matter is that Rob was educated under a Voodoo Shaman and uses porcupine tears in a magical concoction that is dusted over the CnC machine. A couple chants, a dance under moonlight (clothing optional), some porcupine dust and abracadbra! REO.

It's the truth. Ask him yourself.
I like the porcupine story. I wonder if narwhals are involved too?
Or maybe Andre the Seal? Hey Rob is Andre still alive?:)

We have two Hawkheaded Parrots, a Red Fronted Macaw, a Green Aracari, and a Blue Naped Mousebird.:)
I do like my magma. But I hear you, it is so convenient.

To me, there is no mystique about the Reo.
It is just a very well designed tool for vaping, nothing more and nothing less.
Exceptional taste, easy to use, easy to maintain and very, very reliable.
I only have one Reo, besides several older VV AT's and tank systems.
For more than 2 years now, I use the Reo most of the times (I guess, must be 99% or more).
During business trips, the only device I take with me is the Reo.
And this one Reo never failed on me during this time period (around 900 refills).
Maybe this reliability could be called mystique, at least when compared to other vaping devices.
Just a perfect tool.

I will generally wear my pajamas with the plastic feet with my 14 inch custom gold cape with the ritual ;)

As a long time dripaholic with way too many mods/toppers who also rotates a bunch of jooses every day/night I couldn't agree more. Dripping from the bottom, with no hassle fresh joose as you need it. That is the first thing that reeled me in on my first Reo. And with my builds plenty of flavorful clouds that dreams are made of.

Another bird brain here... The last 3 (I reared them from the nest)... my son has the White-eyed Conure that is 30YO, ex took the Sun Conure that would be 16YO now, so only my Meyer's parrot Bandit (8YO) still lives with me.

We also have a White Eyed Conure, which was a rescue, in addition to the Greys. LOUD, AREN'T THEY???

This one has never been very loud, but then he never has squawked much. He's a lover that coo's, and talks or uses sign language to tell you want he wants. Loud was the Military Macaw I got in the early 70's, some of the Amazons. Most surprising though was the monster voice of the little Sun Conure who seldom shut up. The Meyer's chirps, sings and whistles like a song bird, the quietest true parrot I've ever raised.

Yes - perfect tool. As close to perfect as it can conceivably get.
The REO caters to people who prefer things simple, reliable and consistent. It is a flawless design that screams "sense! sense!" at the top of its lungs. It took 5 minutes with my REO and I've never used another device since, and never will :)

There's a word for the reo mystique: gestalt (the combined effect being more than the sum of the parts).

It's a dripper, a mech, a bottom feeder, and (in the tradition of Eli Whitney) has replaceable parts. This checklist of features makes it simple, effective, consistent, and durable, but the combination of them all makes it loveable - a visceral quality you can't put in a blueprint. That's magic. That's porcupine dust.

I don't know if you were a dripper before you discovered the Reo KeepSmiling, I was. Dripping was the most satisfying vape I had found after trying a few different tank systems and a short stint with carto's. Dripping is a superior method of vaping as far as flavor is concerned imo, and flavor is what I was after. Dripping is a pita though with the constant need to redrip. The Reo's take the pita out of dripping and they are so simple to use. That's where the mystique in the Reo lies for me, it's simplicity.

Thanks for all the great replies everyone.
Spydro, thanks for sharing about your birdy family.:)
I have not had a lot of previous dripping experience, but I am finding I much prefer it and squonking now with the Reo, and a magma I got that I am running on my Provari. I like the fact that I can easily switch juices. I can have one juice in the bottle to squonk, and drip a little of another into the rm2 if I feel like it. I also realize the atty and build has a lot to do with it. It's just such a nice warm thick vapor. I love it, and am now looking into Reo Lp #2.:)
