Yes, all the 902 manual batteries were redesigned with smaller profile button, and it will not stick with this version. The new version I have been selling since 6/26 are the ones that were specially designed for the 902 smart PCC.

You can use the new version 902 manual batteries in the non smart pcc, but the older style will not work in the 902 smart pcc.

The old 902 manual batteries are sweet, but have that vent hole that allows juice to get in, frying the batteries. I have lost half of my batteries because of this, and have gone back to the 510 because of it.
I like the 902 atty, as it's very robust and works well, and the PCC is very cool, but losing 6 batteries in a couple months is definitely NOT cool.
So does the new battery still have that vent hole?

I had juice get into my favorite sidesho battery and was about to toss it, with great sadness, but then I remembered reading something on here about standing it upside down overnight to let the juice flow out. It worked like a charm, and my favorite battery was back in business. Try it if you light is stuck on when you're not hitting the button, could be juice that will come out.

After 4.5 months I am down to my last battery (from my original 3). My auto died on me a few weeks ago and I was doing fine with a rotation of my 2 manuals until 1 drown in juice tonight.

Is there any difference between the old manuals and the new ones besides the low profile button? I have the old style PCC.

I remember something a while ago about larger capacity autos. 220 mah maybe? Did anything ever come of those?

The autos need a hole because you have to draw air through the length of the tube to activate the pressure/vacuum switch to turn on the battery. The manual doesn't have that requirement but if it doesn't have another air channel then we can't seal the hole.

I don't think 510 batteries are any different but on this connector Silver 510 Battery Connector, Sealed you can see notches cutout on the sides of the connector that make a channel without having to draw air through the mod it's attached to.
