Hi everyone! Im new to the vaping scene, but im happy to say after 6 years of smoking a pack a day im into my 5th day without analogs! Im happy to be able to quit at a young age and find an alternative that actually works for me.

The short story of the beginning of my journey is about 5 days ago i received in the mail my V2 E-Cig starter kit with 10 cartos of red flavor along with a sample pack of their flavors. despite reading about a few negative things about v2 on this site i am pretty impressed with my v2 e-cig but am disappointed to find out i overpaid a little bit. Despite overpaying a bit i am still very happy with my purchase. Although i was a marlboro red smoker i was not overly satisfied with the red cartos i received, they had a hint of caramel maybe but nothing like a cigarette. i was not too impressed with their congress (parliment), coffee, sahara (camel), or vanilla. but to my surprise i did very much enjoy their peppermint and even the menthol. Now after much researching on this site i ordered myself 10 blank cartos along with 1 bottle WOW cowboy menthol, and WOW peppermint and along with a manual short battery from V4L as that seems to be a popular supplier. I do not vape near as much as i used to smoke, i take a few puffs from time to time just to satisfy, thus i am happy with the small batteries that look like cigarettes (also so i dont stand out in public)

All that being said, im glad to be "part of the gang" and any suggestion are very welcome since i am still such a noob at this

Welcome to ECF you'll be hard pressed to find a perfect Marlboro flavor. I like DFw Vapors version but I won't lie and say it tastes like a red. It tastes like the smell of a just opened pack with a hint of caramel to it. Since there are loads of flavors to try live a little and get a lot of smaple sizes of different flavors and reorder bigger bottles of the ones you like.

Here's a thread with recommendations of places that offer decent and inexpensive sample sizes.

Edit: Be sure and check out Pay it Forward to they have a deals and steals thread and they do trades and even giveaways there. Be sure and read their rules before you post though. Great people in that group.

That's exactly what I did...I got a V2 starter kit too, and I'm sending the manual shorty back because it doesn't seem to hold a charge at all, but I have to say, the XL auto has GREAT battery life. But I don't know if I should be refilling juice with this thing, so I think am going to get an XL manual from Vapor4Life as well.

Tastes are so different...I actually really like the sweet Turkish blend they have, but the vanilla's a little too sweet. I really don't know what I like flavor wise, so I ordered a bunch of sample packs from FreedomSmoke, they seem to have a HUGE selection of flavors (they need to make their site easier to navigate though!) and I'm just gonna recycle some of these V2 cartos.

If you're new to refilling I'd get another manual before I refilled. You can kill an auto batt getting juice in it.

ShannonA thank you so much for the recommendations i will definitely look into it all the information, i will have to wait to order more stuff due to limited budget being a college student =(. thanks kwanyin =) and sluz, i think i dont like the sweeter flavors cause im not really a "sweets" person but i will definitely finish off all the flavors i got and clean them and just reuse the cartos.

i suppose my main goal now is to shop around for different flavors of e juices and find my favorites, and possibly even graduate to diy mixing to save even more money, but we will see. One thing i am sure of though is im happy to not be smoking analogs!
