The "pin" thingy is just auto adjust, the contact pin moves freely. Instead of pushing the pin upwards to adjust for when an atomizer post is taller than another.

So there has been a design change in the internals since the initial release of the Omega? My pin is all nicked up, stops firing after 2 days and I have to take it apart. The set screws have scuffed up the slide in piece, thus making it very difficult to fit into the cap. It tarnishes to no end. I haven't been happy with it. Its mainly due to user error the first time I decided to take it apart (before the "how to" video" came out)
Since you changed the finishing process, I may order another one if something has changed in the pin assembly design. Let me know :)

I own all of your devices, and all are perfect. I would love to have a perfect Omega. Could you elaborate on what has changed about the pin assembly, if anything?

Just increased tolerance on the center contact pin, changed to oval point set screws to reduce the wear on the contact barrel. By increasing the clearance on the pin it just enables the pin to float freely in the insulator. Insted of taking it apart Leather, try squeezing the top together and use your thumb to push the pin up towards the atty connector. I hate the fact there was a percentage of the original OMEGA that tarnished.
