Oh MaryKay...I can see you with a slingshot!!!

We had a nice day. My niece didn't do as well as she wanted but I thought she was pretty good for her age and the fact that she's been doing for only a year.

I haven't seen her since early this past summer and she's growing like a weed. I'm 5'4" and she's almost as tall as I am...she won't be 12 until January so she's going to be a tall one like her mom.

My BIL, her great grandad, couldn't really see her perform because he has macular degeneration...but he was proud of her nonetheless! This was the FIRST annual worldwide tourney sponsored by the National Archery something or other for schools so she was part of making history.

Well thanks so much MK.. I am still hanging in there..lol. I've been keeping an eye on the SE thread every few days, nervously I might add.

I'm currently considering making that "Jackass for Rent" sign even though he (my hubby) is some years away from retirement..but that's another story. :pOther than the norm, everyone is doing fine here.

I was talking with a cousin in Indiana today. We were talking about how we're about to become the "oldest" generation in the family <sigh>. Out of my mouth popped, "we need a family website." I've never met her sons as they didn't live in Indiana or Ohio when I was still in Ohio.

So, I do a search and found this site: familylobby.com. You can set up a family website for free!! I went ahead and upgraded ($5 a month) so we could post lots of family pics.

Just wanted to share this for those of you who might be interested.

A distant cousin of mine has one for our family..those people are serious about genealogy! I just wanted to go back a few generations..Oh well. It's fun to see how many cousins we can find!
It's a good thing to share your roots. The family pictures should be spread around to everyone..don't forget to write on the back of theones you print out..who it is and any info you have about them! In a generation, they will just be old photo's of long gone unknown people if you don't!
