Hello.

I want you to tell me all about Ego-C's and leaking problem.

I use to own a Ego-T and leaking was a big problem, my pocked became wet 3 days a week.

Have they fixed with problem with the new changeable atomizer system?

I own a mini-REO that dosen't leak, but I have some friends that wanna try it out.

Is buying new tanks a solution?

Owned an eGo-C kit for over a month now, and have not had a single leak. I drop the atty into the cone then screw the base on, I make sure to hold the whole thing as vertical as possible and slide the tank up into the cone until I either hear the click, or feel that it won't go any further. A little condensation here and there as to be expected from vapor, but no leaks. Oh, and I draw smooth and steady to make sure I don't pull too much fluid into the atty as well.

Is there any good alternative? No mod please.

You don't really need an alternative. If it leaks, just buy some cartomizers like the Visions, dual coils or Resurrectors that others have mentioned. My favorites are the shorty 1.7ohm (resurrectors, rejuvenators, etc). They don't hold a lot but provide a great vape and no leaking.

I don't think much of the title of your thread, since I don't think it's "official" that there is an inherent leaking problem with Joyetech tanks; whether with C- or T- atomizers, or either A or B tanks. I don't think your claim holds juice.

Some tanks come pre-punched now, and you can get either hard plastic or soft rubber caps. Have you tried these options?

And no, I'm not a Joyetech tank fanboy; I like DCT tanks with cartos, and am moving to the Bulli atty next - which coincidentally use Joyetech tanks. I just don't like seeing any piece of equipment get a bad rap that I don't think it deserves. Joyetech tanks and attys get a lot of raps on this site - many deserved - but chronic leaking isn't one of the common criticisms. I don't think your ECF career is off to a very auspicious start. (That said, welcome to the forum).

I have also had problems with leaking. I'm losing more fluid than actually vaping. This is my first E-cig that does not have the filter material in it. I never had a problem with that type of cig but big problems with the ego-C. I called the company I bought it from and they said that 3 out of 10 people who buy it complain of leakage. He said that the main cause is pulling in vapor with too big of a suck. I took the e-cig apart and dried it and put more liquid in the tank and am not having a problem right now. Time will tell. I am hoping that is what the problem is because the leakage has been so frustrating.

My wife & I started with the eGo-C. I can agree that leaking - very bad leaking - is a huge flaw in the design. I put up with it for half a day before giving up on it.

My wife suffered a few days longer. She carries a cup around to put the thing in as the only way to prevent leaks is to keep the unit upright. Tilt it too much or lay it down and the fluid will all leak out - every time.

I recommend to stay away from eGo-C.

I wish I knew what everyone else is doing that I'm not. I've used the eGo-C for 2 months now, and never had a leak. Not one. I drop the atomizer into the cone, then screw the base on. I keep it vertical and slide the tank in and get a good click, and I vape. I'm still using all the first tanks I got. Well, within a week I got a 2nd pack of 5 so I could easily go flavor to flavor. But still, those 10 tanks, with their original caps are still in use.

The *only* issue I have is that the atty doesn't wick well with higher VG juices. But as long as I stick to around 50/50, I have nary a problem.

Yeah, I'm a newish user of ego models. I don't know what the leaking is about either. I wanted to stay away from them at first because these type of comments actually. I was suspecting they are were some mass market crap product that people were suffering through in droves. But then, I thought they must've been popular for a reason. Lo and behold, they are. They're not bad at all. I wonder what others are doing to make them so bad. It must be highly individual, like how people draw and inhale or something. Either that, or it's purposely spreading FUD for some reason.

Well, I finally solved the leaking problem with my ego-c. I was not getting the tank pushed in far enough to keep it from leaking. It was in so that I could vape but the leaking would start soon after vaping after a short time. I finally just pushed really hard while twisting the tank and itclicked completely down into the atomizer. I have not had any leakage since then. Yeah, I am happy with my ego-c now.

Still not having ay problems with ego-c leaking. Glad I finally figured out that you have to push hard on the liquid tank and twist to get it fully engaged in the atomizer.

Yeah, a good connection is important. Tho I ordered some BC CE3s to try out. The -c is still a nice system, but just not the best at wicking some times.

Been using my eGo-C over 5 mths now & have never gotten a single leak. In fact I love it.

A flooded atty? Yeah I can believe it if you're pulling too hard.
A drop or two or three at the point where the tank connects to the cone? Possible if you're leaving a lot of un-inhaled vapor in the cone. It will re-condense & hey, if it's on it's side it's gotta go somewhere.

Both pretty minor issues once you learn the proper draw technique- long, slow & gentle.
If this is physically impossible for you to do due to the stray dragon dna in your genes & pulling less forcefully than an industrial strength vacuum cleaner is quite beyond you.......then a carto may be a better fit for YOU.

If you say you're getting leakage, then you're doing something wrong.
If you're "leaking like a sieve" you're doing something VERY wrong.
You spent money & now have a pretty great PV. Would it REALLY hurt that much to learn to use it properly? :glare:

Edit- I've actually TRIED to get mine to leak after reading a couple "omg! my ego-c leaks!" posts & only 3 ways I succeeded:
1) Pull as long & as hard as possible without firing atty till poor lil said atty is drownded in half a tank o' juice
2) Insert tank halfway
3) Fail to replace cap properly after refilling or, better yet, leave cap off after filling tank

#3 works very well........officially.......
