I have the polished brass Turtle Ship and my girlfriend has the brushed brass Origin. Both hit about the same - like a truck! As you know, the Origin is 21mm so most RDAs look too big for it. My gf is using an IGO-W (torched to better match the brass, though it looks way darker in the pic) and it looks really sexy. The TS is 22mm and I have the Omega RDA which sits flush. Both thread into each mod smoothly. I'm more attracted to the TS because of the tube size, old Korean characters and logo, though the Origin is still a beautiful mod, especially the top cap. Since I got the TS, my girlfriend now wants one.
Gripes: While I really like the look of the Origin button, I hate the button assembly for a number of reasons. First, the adjustable delrin in the Origin is thin and flimsy while the TS delrin is quite the opposite (however both methods of telescoping are inferior to the Nemesis, I think). Second, the Origin button has too many pieces for no apparent reason. The knurled nut below the battery contact constantly comes loose after locking/unlocking a number of times and then the button assembly gets all out of whack leading to misfires and inability to lock. Each time we buy juice at a B&M, my girlfriend has the guys rebuild her RDA and every time they will check the button without even being asked. The TS button is very simple, just a flat top brass screw that screws into the actual button, it has never come loose on me nor has it ever misfired. Lastly, the locking ring on the Origin is very thin and can be difficult to lock/unlock. The larger TS lock ring has been much easier to use.
Though I've only had the TS since Saturday, I honestly couldn't be happier. It's a very simple mod that functions wonderfully every time. When back in stock, I will definitely pick up another in brushed SS. I really have no desire for an Origin. Don't get me wrong, the Origin still vapes really well and some people might love it, but for me the reasons above (and the price) were a deal breaker.
I hope this was helpful. If you have any other questions, I'm more than happy to try and help further.
