Looks like a nice item! what would shipping time and cost to UK be?

any pics of item split apart and button etc

Thank`s......

usps priority to the UK is roughly $10-$15 USD

I'm sorry but due to the "copycat" syndrome that is so prevalent I am only willing to post pics of the fully assembled unit at this time... :(

I can tell you that the entire unit is user servicable and can be completely disassembled easily... Also the button/switch is easily found @ local electronics stores... I purchase them in bulk from a local radio shack... the switches are inexpensive and quite durable... 50,000 mechanical/100,000 electrical rating... This would translate to roughly 4-6 months of heavy use...

I am using protected cr123's in mine. no problems-they work great. I got 2 of the batteries- 1 is a great fit, the other I have to "wiggle" into place but they both work beautifully once in.

Thad, your site suggests that you can use a protected cr123 in the AdapteveR. TRUE?

Thad, I still need an 801 adapter when you get them made. My AdapteveR is working great and I've been using the longer protected 123's , the end cap just doesn't screw on all the way , works fine and the battery lasts longer. Let me know when you have the adapters ready please.

John

Just noticed this... I've got to get some better instructions put together for everyone... I am sorry for that...

The AdapteveR supports CR123 batteries with lengths from 1.300" ~ 1.420" or 33mm ~ 36mm.... that should cover most protected batteries and the shorter non protected ones...

supported voltages are 3.0v ~ 6.0v (6.0v option is not yet available- longer sleeve will be sold separately in future to support (2) cr2 style batteries)...

in order to use longer protected batteries, you must reverse the plastic spacer ring in the nosecone...

loosen set screw --> remove insert adapter --> remove plastic spacer ring --> replace insert adapter --> tighten set screw --> from the outside of unit replace the plastic spacer ring

now you are ready to use longer protected batteries and the unit will screw together properly...

any questions feel free to ask...

Very very nice unit. Been trying to kill the first battery since I got home from work and it's beating me. LOL

Here's a comparison of different models.
Left to right.. AdaptEver, DSE901, 510, 4081, Janty Minifogger*306*

Hey Thad. I received my new AdapteveR today. Dropped a new Ultrafire 16340 protected into it and am vaping away. Hopefully now I can get off of the analogs completely. Thank you very much! :D ~ Don

That is awesome Don! glad you like it and it is serving you well... best of luck to you!

There is now a link to subscribe to my mailing list on the www.adaptever.com website... (link is located in the top right corner)

be sure to sign up to receive the latest product announcements including new insert adapters, 6v option, and product availablilty...

btw: you can also take a short survey about which features and addons you would like to see offered for the AdapteveR (located on the www.adaptever.com website)

Thank you everyone for your continued support of the AdapteveR :)

Hi - I did fill out the poll, but it doesn't quite offer all the options. You've gotten most of this in a prior PM from me, but..in rough order:
    1. Good performance and battery life (consider this 'right now' version).
    2. Ability to take my common atomizers (and I suspect others) - 510, 801 (really M201). 901 for others, and M401/EVO.
    3. quality/reliability - again, covered 'right now' from what I've seen, very nice.
    4. Different voltage options. 5v and 6v both options, would be ideal.

Anything else is really subjective. I'd prefer a top mounted button. I'd prefer the ability to not accidentally engage power to the unit. It would be very nice to have a built-in charger/mini-USB, but really that turns it into an entirely different device/isn't critical for me.

thank you so much for the feedback..

yes the 6v option is on its way and will be available shortly... it will be 100% backwards compatible, and the device can easily be swapped back and forth without using tools of any kind...

I agree, I first thought of the top mounted switch, but currently it causes too many design concerns that I am not comfortable with... i.e. increase size of unit or reduce quality of switch mechanism... someday perhaps...

mini-USB charger option would be absolutely awesome... I would love to have that in the AdapteveR!... unforturnately that would be quite difficult to accomplish at this stage... and nearly impossible without soldering the connector into the unit...

a note on solder: I actually rather enjoy soldering, I have quite a nice unit that allows one to set the digital temp, etc... but I'm not convinced it's the best option with a PV that is used so much... put in pockets, dropped... etc... PV's really do take a lot of abuse so durability is always high on my list...

anyway, thanks again for all your input, and maybe I should consider expanding the survey questions a bit...
