I had some thoughts on a better cartomizer for a tank.
Since it appears that you work closely with the mnf, maybe you'll
want to do something with this.

- the pinpoint hole is too small, two holes at twice the size would be
much better and not likely to leak with anything short of 100% PG juice

- DC is a good carto, but with the tank it is overkill and IMO the heat
effects the juice in the tank

- a single coil ( vertical or horizontal ) at the bottom of the carto would
work better, especially in terms of good wicking

- with a single coil at the bottom, filling the carto tube with filler is just
more filler to get gunked up with cooked juice; the filler only needs to
surround the coil, more filler means that what juice does make it through
the holes, tries to spread out through all the filler, leaving less juice actually
around the coil; also, with less filler, the pin point hole may actually be enough

Some secondary thoughts -
If you figure 2 size tanks, 3ml for std carto and 5ml for XL carto, make the cartos
long enough so that 3/8" to 1/2" stick out above the tank; this gives you something
to grip when screwing the carto on to the PV.

Or, put a flat edge on the flange of the carto with a matching flat edge on the tank,
so that the carto locks into the tank and doesn't spin.

Last, to cut one step out of the mnf process and maybe a little cost, these will be
used strictly with tanks so there is no need for the silicone plug. Everyone uses a drip
tip, they are just gonna pull out the plug and throw it away.

I think this would be the perfect carto. I am not looking for any royalties or
consulting fee. I would just really like to see this carto produced. If you aren't
interested, maybe you'll at least pass this on to the mnf.

Of course, if you need a tester, or the idea works as well as I think, and you
want to send me a gross of the XL size,I wouldn't say no. :vapor:

For those cartos with holes too small to wick, I find that taking a very small screw, putting the tip in the hole, and giving it a few light taps with a hammer will make the hole slightly larger and more tolerable, as long as you don't go into overkill and deform the carto.

I like the idea of the flange, that's why I'm lookin fwd to the DC tanks that are on their way. Eliminates the possibility of pushing the tank too far down your carto and losing juice.

The top of the filler does indeed stay dry in my carto tank, and even if I top it off with juice to keep it wet, it dries up very quickly.

I use the standard issue Boge 3.0's and IKV LR's depending on what PV I use, and I have some with the flanged SLB DC cartos on the way. So I'll see if the DC's heat at 1.5ohms affects the surrounding juice at 3.7v.
