VG - responsible for giving 90% of all the vapor but gunks up the atty
PG - dillutes the VG so it does not gunks up the atty. (it's like water to the ejuice solution). It gives 1-2 inch vapor.

I've been DIY'ing my ejuice since last year. The purpose of PG is to dillute the VG so it does not gunk up the atty too fast. PG is still required in an ejuice solution.

Also, PG is responsible for distributing the flavor, since VG does not hold up much flavor.
Concentrated flavorings have PG in them.

80/20 is good.

Throat hit, in my experience, comes from Nicotine.

I don't believe Halo is all VG. They don't give the ratio, but it's definitely PG/VG.

I thought they advertised it being 100% vg ... It still has a killer th though and isnt really that thing at all to even be 50/50. I would guess 70/30 vg/pg at the least and still that killer th. any diy know how they do this?

You can dilute VG with distilled water and/or 100% proof vodka or Everclear instead of PG. I'm allergic to PG and only vape VG and have found that if the flavored ejuice is of a light color it doesn't gunk up the attys. I use my boge cartos in my pyrex and polypro tanks and they last me for more than a week. However the dark cigar/tobacco flavors will gunk the cartos in two days.

I use 100% PG mixes. I learned while studying to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician that VG can be slightly toxic (not that analogs aren't insanely worse...) I also like the harsh throat hit for some reason. I think that was what I was still craving from my smoking days. I never thought it was the nicotine for me in the same way that it is for a lot of smokers. Seems the nicotine was being used differently in my body since I have Attention Deficit Disorder. The hardest part about quitting was I now know to be throat hit and actually having the cigarette in my hand.
