OK, like I said got in the VV today. Had the wrong type of Attys, but had two from Rob. Fixed it all and started vaping. Didn't use the drips tips from REO and got a bunch of juice in my mouth. Traded out Drip tip and didn't get so much. It's vaping pretty good. You have to know, I've never dripped before, so that in itself was a new thing for me. I got get my cartos in. I also have to learn the "wheel". I know some of you said you marked it. How did you determine what position was which temp? I've got a meter coming in soon. I heard JC Okie, say that the VV has built in protection, does this mean that I can't break it by making a bad coil on the RMA? I'm thinking about trying something tonight, even if it's with cheese cloth! Sorry guys, but I'm desperate! I don't know if I have a vape headache or just ingested to much juice. By the way, I love this thing!

I turn the wheel all the way to the left (low power) and vape. Then turned it a little to the right until it was what I wanted. Now I rarely move it and if I do it's in very small increments :)

Not sure about being able to short it because by the time I got it, I had already learned coils. I would meter them in your other mods first just to be safe :)

Glad you like it.

Juice in the mouth is a sign of over-squonking. You also might be drawing too hard. Ease up a bit and you'll find the rhythm.

I've never marked my VVGrand, so can't help there. I just go by taste.

Yes, it has built in protection. But I'm one to err on the side of caution when coiling. I meter all my new coils every time. If I were in your position, I'd wait for a meter. But that is totally up to you.

Enjoy the vape!

Meter a new coil on your Provari. And like Super_x says, all the way to the left is the lowest voltage. Wrap a coil (cheesecloth is great as a wick....don't use too much....maybe a little half inch X half inch square rolled up....or one inch by half inch, then trim the edges after you have it rolled.) When I used cheesecloth, I wrapped it around a needle (to hold it stiff) then wrapped about 5-6 wraps around it. Put the legs through the post holes and screw them in, then remove the needle. Make sure you SATURATE it before you fire it. It will catch fire if you fire it dry. That will give the cheesecloth room to expand a little. Depending on what gauge of wire you're using, you should get a decent coil with that.

I agree with both these fine folks. I start all the way to the left and roll it till I get the taste I want. Occasionally I feel its a bit too harsh or too light and I adjust in small increments. I equate it to a light dimmer, just turn it till you like what you see! (Or taste as the case may be) And if youre getting juice in your mouth, you are oversquonking. I use a firm 1-2 second press and suck. That gives me around 10-12 great hits. As a beginner, using a standard 510 atty, I was told to press the bottle until I saw ANY juice movement in the well. That really worked well for me. Good luck and please dont be afraid to ask any question at all! I'm Ed. Now you can call me Ray or you can call me Jay.....

Oops, Jan jumped in there. Make that THREE fine individuals! :2cool:

Super, where does the black O ring go? I've built a coil man! 2.0 ohms on the Provari (sorry to mention that)!

Now....with the 2.0 coil.....turn your wheel a little to the right....little bit at a time until you get a "hard hitting" RM2. That's the beauty of the VV. Looks to me like you have arrived!!!! Congrats on the 2.0 coil. If you can do one, you can do them forever. You're THERE!

EDIT: Your "hard hitting" atty was probably LR -- around 1.5 ohms. You need a little more juice to make the 2.0 ohm you just made hit a little harder.....

You're psychic I tell you! It was a 1.5, I'll have to work on getting it more juice!

By more juice (sorry!!!!) I mean more voltage. Guess you knew that.....

The word juice can mean so many things..............*sigh*

EDIT: RE: psychic. Ha. It's more "been there; done that" than psychic.
