I've had the rx2/3 for about three weeks. With a few minor issues here and there, I was loving it. I know the 510 pin is weird and people have complained about this. This morning, my Tsunami 24 just wasn't acting quite the same on this mod. Ol' reliable turned into ol' unreliable. Not to mention that the device seemed to get unusually hot (I'm using good 18650s that are brand New and not rewrapped). I mean it got hotter than usual. Besides that, I always used it in three battery mode. That battery door is really weird. It never attaches flush to the device. Once, the battery door fell off on me. This morning, when I used it with two batteries, nothing worked well at all. The thing stopped letting me adjust wattage.

As much as I wanted to get another mod, I wanted a backup. Well, let's just say that I drove to my local vape shop tonight and bought another mod to use full time. I didn't like the price but I also am not going back to cigarettes, after three weeks. Currently, I have the smok Alien 220w. I can't give much of a review because I just fired it up. Overall, the reviews seem to be good. I don't currently care about DNA chip's and all this other stuff - I just need a working device. The Tsunami is working like it should.

Welcome and glad you joined. I would get in touch with the seller or manufacturer and see if they (warranty?) can help out. If not, you could post in:

The Smoant Battlestar is shaped like the 2/3 and is a really nice mod for a nice price. It works great in all mods and the battery door is solid. It has some great color options and can be had for about $40. Misthub has it with the coupon code reddit15. Check it out, I love mine and it would make a solid backup for your alien. Who knows it might even become your primary and the alien your backup.
