the sad demise of my Journeyman box mod

With heavy heart I must post my Journeymans obiturary. It died yesterday after several weeks of intermittent failures and heroic rescues. It would appear the problem lies in the wire between the on off switch and side metal. It will work slightly if I cross a knife from the switch box to where the wire attaches to the side metal piece, but not enough to make it worthwhile. So I feel an No Resuscitation order is the most humane way for my dear Journeyman. However after a year and a half both my SD's are outstanding with a drip tip and 510 atty, plus I still have a few Ego's until I can somehow get an order in for an A'li. Sounds like a solder joint problem. Should be an easy fix. PM Kaji, I bet he can fix it with minimal effort and cost. Too nice of a mod to just "bury".

RA's right. I'm sure it's no big deal. Easier than changing out a switch.
Your beloved Journeyman's just in a coma. It's not dead.

Yah well I been emailing but I would think he's pretty busy as I haven't heard back and I know he's a very reputable supplier. As good as it was, it was big, easy to knock over, which probably led to the wire problems, very hard to clean the inside, messy, lid doesnt stay on well ....
