are you like me? do you hate not knowing how much fluid is left in your carto? if so, then read this:
i have noticed that 1ml typically = 1 gram (a standard carto holds 1ml). so if youve got a scale (if not, they can be had for cheap*), you can measure very accurately how much liquid you have left. a scale that measures to the hundreth of a gram (0.00) is the one you want.
for filling, i use the condom-fill method (for refilling i just drip).
first, measure the carto when its blank without the white mouth piece or drip tip. i write the weight on a tiny piece of paper, getting ready to tape it to the carto once its full.
then, put a tall carto condom on the scale, zero it out, then slowly drip until you get to 1.00 grams. this is for 510 cartos. if you have 808 cartos, either short or tall carto condoms will work. do the condom fill method as usual (search youtube for this method if you dont already know).
then tape the dry weight to the carto and viola! whenever you want to know how much is left, just pop off your drip tip and weigh it. for refilling, add 1 gram of liquid to the dry weight and your golden.
this method makes refilling cartos much quicker, much easier, and much less messy. ive been using this method for filling up large batches of cartos for some time now. just today i finally thought to share
FYI boge cartos typically weigh in at 4.5g, smok cartos are usually 4g and kangers are about 4.25g. so if youve got cartos already filled when you get your scale, you can use those measurements as a ballpark.
