So I've only been vaping for about 6 weeks now ... and I gave up RYO pretty much immediately when my pv arrived. Since there was legal doubt as to the status of my much loved pv, I purchased unflav juice so that I could DIY if the FDA came out on top in the court ruling.

The problem is I don't know what it should smell like. There was a report of some suspicious smelling juice of the same strength from the same supplier, and my juice smells as that report described. To me nic tastes like pepper, but all of my other juices have flavor and aren't as concentrated as my unflav ... so I can't really compare the apples to the oranges, so to speak. I bought a rather large bottle and would rather not purchase another bottle of unflav from another supplier just to check my own senses.

So I'd like to poll newbies and veterans alike ... what does unflav juice smell like to you?

Thanks for your time!!
Jan

I don't notice any smell with mine.

May I ask what strength it is?

I realize that any smell that is associated with nicotine is going to be stronger with the stronger concentrations ... and I haven't mixed mine down to my normal vaping strength. But there is a distinct chemical smell that concerns me ... ???

I have 24mg unflavored from Heaven Gifts, 48mg from Nhaler and 60mg from MFS. I cannot detect any odor from any of them. I vape the 24mg without adding flavoring and to me it has a "clean" taste. I actually like it quite a bit and now keep a bottle on the table all the time along with my MFS cappuccino for vaping during the day.

From what I've read the stronger nicotine juices will/should have a chemical smell to them so I wouldn't be surprised if you are smelling something.

Cept for JulesThe higher your concentration of nicotine the more of a chemical smell it will have. Nicotine is a chemical. Most everyone else that has responded is talking about a premix it seems. This really needs to be put into the subforum of the supplier as to get more appropiate answers to your question. You have made your post in a way that is totally acceptable and non threatening. Have a mod move this for you.

Thanks, HzG8rGrl, but I don't really want it moved ... the supplier in question can be a bit grumpy and I just don't have the energy to deal with it.

Yep, nicotine is a chemical and I expect some smell. But the strength of the odor coming from this bottle, and yes I shook it, is quite strong; it's just terribly concerning to me.

I dunno, maybe I'll have to contact the supplier and ask for a replacement bottle. I haven't used any of it ... just opened it for a smell after the trouble report hit the forum. I hate to waste 250mL of juice ... but I'm not sure I want to vape something that smells like this bottle.
