i have tried the T3s on all my autos (4) and my manuals,,,,,so they do work on all the X2s and the 78s with out a adapter .

two of the X2 autos i had to raise the bat posts a fraction.

so i have seen the light,,,we don't need adapters or ego batteries,,,they work fine on The X2 batteries.:):oops::2cool::vapor::banana::banana::banana::rules:

I do think the juice tastes a little better with the manuals though,,,,my preference.

IDK... Maybe I'm not doing something right. I tried the T3 on both of my X2s, and it didn't work very well, and flooded the coil. I had to push hard to get the threads started, and it wouldn't screw all the way down. I don't think I'll try that again.

I'm with you. I tried to screw on without an adaptor but it wouldn't thread and I don't want to mess with the battery post. Why risk shorting out the battery? It's just not worth it since I do have an adaptor. The T3 + X2 = Enjoyment!

Yes, they will screw on our X2s. BUT be very careful about forcing the T3 to fit. It's really not designed for the X2 connection and you may run the risk of permanently (shorting) ruining a perfectly good battery. Just sayin. YMMV

i picked up my ego T mod from the post office today and i am enjoying right now,,i like the way it sits on my table nice and solid,,,,its a little big,,but i have gotten use to it already.

i still have a T3 on a X2 manual so i can grab it and work outside,,,i have the lanyard on it so it won't fall in to my mower while i am shredding leaves for my garden.

Larry... If you put a pocket clip on the T3, you can carry it in your shirt pocket without dropping it.

yep I had to sort of force it on the X2 but it works. I'm gonna stick with using the adapter. I'm curious to see if & how well the Smokeless Image version will fit on an Ego.

That probably won't work. The SI version will have 808 threading inside the T3, and Egos have 510 threading on top. At least that's my understanding, and that's what's causing the holdup.

I think I'm correct in that the X2 has two sets of threads: the smaller one is the 808 for carts, CE3, etc. The larger one, or "cone thread" is in fact an eGo thread. If you have an eGo battery for comparison, you'll see the rather deep, threaded "well" which accommodates the 510 internal threading. This "well" fits over the battery terminal on the T3 but the external eGo threads are what actually threads into the skirt of the T3. I would think that all Kanger would have to do to accommodate us Volties is to slightly extend the length of the skirt and add 3-4 threads to the additional length. This is why the eGo design T3 "just barely" allows the use of an X2 without an adapter.

:D Well, I may be all wet in my assumptions. I was just comparing the threaded connection on the SI Clearo vs the T3 and see that the Clearo does in fact thread on the 808 portion of the X2. I had it in my head that the Clearo threaded on the X2 "cone thread". The T3 threads via internal skirt threads onto the larger eGo threads of the eGo battery. Soooooooo.......I suppose Kanger could go either way with their design-whichever one is more cost effective for them. If the goal is a universal threading for all Volt batts, then they would have to go with the 808 threading. However, I'm not sure why anyone would want to use a T3 on a 65/78mm batt except in an "emergency".
