I picked up a Provari from the classifieds recently. It works just fine but it has the wonky button that thunks when you release it. I researched what I could and tried the "stretch your spring" tip. It seemed like it worked better but now it is back to how it started.

I've tried three different end caps and I've tried it with the extension. No difference. I've tried it with all of my batteries. (Even the counterfeit AW).

If I fire it with the button on the top it's not so noticeable, but with the button down...big thunk.

Has anyone found an explanation for why this happens?

thanks!

Sounds like the epoxy that holds the chip board in place has come loose.. I had a Provari that was dropped once and after that every time you pressed the fire button.. clunk... The chip board had become loose so it moved when the button was pressed... Contact Provape
