I'm looking for the REAL answer. I read some posts from more than one vendor that claim that they do NOT sell genuine Joye (I guess they mean joyetech) atomizers any more because they frequently fail and the return rates were high. This is why the sell other brands of attys that are much better. Is this fact or a bunch of BS? One of these vendors refered to LR's but some did not say either standard or LR attys.
Let some one here set the record straight. There is a lot of chatter on the Joye Atomizer issue.

It depends on who you ask. Ask a Ford dealer if Chevy is better. Ask Pepsi if Coke is better.

In general, all manufacturers are making a version of several models. Each has it's ups and downs. Joye, SLB, JSB, Boge, etc have bad lots of components from time to time. To say one is better or worse than another is to open up to an infinite range of criteria. Is this opinion based on vapor production, taste, component life, price, appearance, availability, size, variety, or any of a billion other factors.

Bear in mind that each vendor sends specifications to the manufacturer as to what they want in their end product. Some just ask for a generic lot, others ask for certain modifications. Janty, for example, has Joye manufacture their components to a specific level. According to Janty, they have each of their eGo batteries coated with a specific paint process to minimize or eliminate paint peeling. Volcano and Revolver send specific information to their manufacturers to make their products more unique.

I don't like certain models from certain manufacturers because they don't perform as I would like them to. That doesn't mean that it's a bad product. Someone else might love the heck out of them. It also doesn't mean that all of that manufacturers products suck.

Bottom line, if you try a certain make and model and find it to be all that you wanted it to be, then buy it. If not, then don't. "Genuine" only matters if you want it to. Everything is only as good as it's warranty and the customer service level of it's retailer.

Agree with tinstar15 here. Depends on what vendors are selling as to how they rate what's available. My own experience has been that the regular Joye 510 atomizer is a real workhorse and because of more metal mesh at the base of the bridge - it tends to hold ejuice close to the coil - virtually eliminating any nasty 'dry atty' taste and tends to prevent coil burnout too. That said, no matter what you are using - atty or cartomizer - you should always top off/refill when you detect a loss of flavor because what follows if you go past that point, is a dry taste and if you continue - a burnt out atomizer.

I haven't had as good a luck with the regular 510 LR atomizer (usually meters at 1.5Ω). They go rather quick depending on what voltage you're using. A 3.3-3.4 eGo or regular/mega 510 battery will do better but a true 3.7v mod can take out a 1.5Ω atty unless you are very careful to take short draws. Even then, you can lose them rather quickly - it is why the LR's are only a DOA warranty in most cases. However, I recently got some LR (1.5Ω) mega eGo atomizers and so far, using two of them on eGos, I haven't had any problem with them (they are Joye's as well) and I can take long draws without any problems so far - I've had them 5 days. Lots of vapor but with any LR atty, you're liable to have some flavor loss, esp. with the lighter flavors. I think it may be just the pure 'mass' of the giant mega eGo attys that make them less vulnerable to burn out but at this point it is only a guess.

Using tinstar's Ford/Chevy analogy: both are decent, imperfect car companies. They each have excellent and mediocre models. From what I've read, the Ford Fiesta is one of the best "Affordable Small Cars;" the Chevy Malibu is one of the best "Affordable Midsize Cars." And some of the units produced of each model are "lemons."

On average, I think Joye is one of the best vaping manufacturers. It certainly has launched some of the most exciting models in vaping history, e.g., 510 and eGO. But first doesn't necessarily mean the best (at any one point in time). I've just been researching the upsurge in popularity of the LR 306 atomizer. From what I've read, Cisco's unique design outshines Joye's or other manufacturers' ... but, I suspect, not everyone would agree with that statement. As they say in the auto biz: YMMV.
