Alrighty folks!
So some of us over in the ECR Vaperoom (a place were my fellow vapers of Reddit tend to hang out) were discussing passthroughs and how underpowered they can be. So, being the tekkies that some of us are, we were tossing around the idea of building the ULTIMATE passthrough electronic cigarette.
This is powered straight off the 5v power from a molex connector (extended with two 16 inch extensions). Both the power supply and switch used are rated for 20 amps of output. Meaning, if you want to (like I do!) want to pump out a .3ohm coil at 5volts (83 watts!) you can and it will fire all day every day. I am going to describe how it is all connected in the next paragraph. (and if people want a more detailed description, I will gladly oblige)
It connects as such; Molex -> 2 Molex Extenders -> 5v rail into switch -> 5v Out of Switch -> 5v rail crimped to firing pin on the Tec mod -> Ground crimped and held in with a screw/washer in the bottom where I ripped out the negative post. It makes use of a Tec Mod body that I had broken earlier this month.
