So yesterday i woke up did my thing and went to grab my usual egear, a provari/kayfun setup and a magneto/i-go t setup but for whatever reason ended up only grabbing the provari. About half way through the day it gets knocked over on tile and the tank cracks. Now im sitting there in complete shock because i have over 4 hours to go and the kayfun is unusable. Then i remembered i had a rsst in my glove box i gave up on months ago. Descided to give it a go at lunch because i had cotton and 28g kanthal. Instead of making the coil then feeding the cotton through the coil and through the tank i wicked the coil first then fed it into the tank. Worked amazing and vapes better then my kayfun did. So now my question is do i buy a russian or a kraken???

I do like the vape from my Kracken clone better, however, I can not keep my toppers upright all the time. I have a killer two hour commute on public transportation. Leaking toppers is a big turn off for me. The Kracken is fun for when I'm home and have the time, however the reason it tastes better is because it's set up in autodripping mode. I have a couple drippers for home already, and I wind up using them for the dripping taste. So, out of all my rebuildables, the Kracken is the least used one.

Now i dont know if its vecause i use cotton but mine dosent leak upside down at all, its like holding one end of a straw closed niyhig comes.out the other side. My problem with kayfuns are the non adjustable center pins which i need for my provari to work with it the way it was designed

There is a reason why gennies are still around.

Just as there is a reason vivi and CE4 are still around most people are to cheap to invest in a good tank. It's alright for those who don't mind the hassle of using one. But for people who want to vape rather then tinker there are much better things out there and Kayfun is one of them.

I build my pocketable gennies with wire rope and a mesh topping. Then plug all other deck holes. They spend most of their time on their side in my pocket. Sometimes upside down when I sit. No leakage.

Gennies don't leak by design. They leak if you don't build them not to. My home-use gennies leak if left on their side. They're not set up not to.

The op had a good experience from his rsst and he has one already. It's difficult to argue against first hand experience and tell anyone "No, your experience does not count."

Besides All rta's abide by the "if built right" rule. For example I can't build a kayfun that won't leak if left on it's side or won't leak if left in a hot car or won't leak if I fill a tank completely up, etc. But I'm sure if I "built it right" I wouldn't have those problems.

I say stick with the rsst until you tire of it or find something better.

There is a reason why gennies are still around. People are learning from first hand experience that gennies, if built right, gives a damn good vape.

I use cotton too. It doesn't seem to leak right away. It needs to be lying on its side for quite a while, and then only a few drops come out. It tastes pretty much like my drippers do, just with a tank full of juice under it. Dripping does taste slightly better then a Kayfun for me, but not enough to make me want to switch. I love the tank capacity of the Kayfun, the fact that they don't leak, even the different accessories and customization options for them. The only thing I don't like is that plastic window. The fact that you have to use plastic to see your juice level is the only reason I tried a genesis style tank first. The glass kits can be pricey. I hope they come down in price soon. I only have one so far, and I want the glass for all of my Kayfuns. Also wouldn't mind one with black metal rings to match my black Ehpro Kayfun.
