The uses of magnetic spacers

Several weeks ago, I asked a question about spacers and don't remember seeing a reply. I feel certain that I am not alone in my ignorance on the use of spacers.

For example, when I try to use two CR2's they are to small in the smallest configuration. I know I need to use the spacers but am not sure where to place them and don't want to blow up my GGT. Do they go between the 2 batteries, at the positive end of the first battery or on the bottom of the last or a combination thereof?

Another example of the use of spacers was brought up by Vapn in taking about he holes in the AFS:

Having to hold it in a certain way to keep the hole either up or down. I am able to adjust this with the use of magnetic spacers.

Also, what is the proper placement i.e., positive to negative, etc?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

They go one the negative end of the batteries but you shouldn't need spaces for these batteries. I just use the large and smallest joints in my Transformer and they fit perfectly.

They can go on any end of the battery. I use them on the positive end and stack them until I get the atty hole to line up where I want it to. This would hot help you guys with the Trans though as you don't have the ability to screw yours down until it hits the batteries. With the new design that imeo has created though there is a spring inside that will push the battery against the cap eliminating the need to use spacers to adjust the air holes position. You can just turn it in any way.

Sorry if I confused anyone with this information. I think Storm covered this for you well. You can try different combinations of sleeves until you get the right length for the batteries you put inside.

Now there are slight differences in the lengths of batteries...ie protected vs non protected... you can use spacers on some to add the length you need. Plus some protected batteries have a positive end that does not have that bump on the end so a magnet can be used to help you get a good contact point....

Now something I read about magnetic spacers... you can put some poxy on the outside edge of the magnet to help with them grounding out against the side of the GG if they should slide to one side... You could just use some nail polish on them.... I usually just tighten down on them and hope for the best....lol...

All GGs and all batteries are not created equal and when I need to use spacers, I do as Stormy does - put them on the negative end of the battery - they make the bext contact here.

I also use them to charge CR2 batteries in the Ultrafire WF-138 3.0v/3.6v dual charger.

They come in handy for hanging things on the fridge... lol... Be sure to keep them away from your computer or cell phone. They will wipe off a memory card pretty quick or the back of a credit card too......lol...

Also be careful with them - they are actually very brittle and break easily.
