Our impressions so far
We are thoroughly enjoying the VERSA VV! The one-button functionally is a breeze, the LED screen is clear as day, and the overall build quality is impressive. The button design on top feels totally natural too!
The rubberized button/knob is comfortable and multi-functional. For example, to turn the VERSA "on"... you simply click the button 5 times and the display reads "on" and then you can proceed to adjusting the voltage by rotating the knob with your thumb. When the light fades out it's ready to vape. After that, you can rotate the knob "left" to check ohm's and "right" to check current. All of this can be done with one finger...very naturally and with a limited learning curve.
When not in active use, the VERSA goes into "sleep" mode and you need only press the button three times to initiate functions described above. To turn turn "off" you press the button five times and it will read "off." For those who may be curious....there is NO zombie mode
We like the fact that the 510 connection extends away from the tube. My sense it that the design naturally prevents e-liquid from seaping into the circut board/electronics. The pin can be adjusted (if needed ) in the event of a poor carto/tank connection. However, I've thrown MEGA Ego cartos, VIVI Nova Tanks, Skinny Tanks, BOGE cartos, Thunderheads, CE4's, etc., and only had to adjust the center pin one time and it was a simple task. This thing is a ton of fun and really versatile - hense the name "VERSA" VV.
The VaporBeast VERSA VV is also a good size! I wouldn't call it stealth, but it's smaller than you might expect and the 18500 battery (in this device in particular) seems to last a long time in-between charges. And when the battery gets low...the blue light on top of the button turns red and you get a "lo" reading on the LED screen. Another nice and well thought out touch!
The blue light on top of the button and backlit screen add a nice touch of class as well. It gives the VERSA VV some added flare to an already cool design. The white version has a pearlized finish. The black version also has a speckeled finish, so this is not your average paint job.
All of this leads us to the conclusion that the VERSA is a well designed, solid, stylish, reasonably priced, and fun device!
NOTE: 2.2 amps may be limiting for low ohm vapers. However for many it will be more than sufficient. I've personally vaped most every PV under the sun and can say that I'm enjoying the VERSA as much or more as anything I've vaped in a long time! The form factor and ease of use is just plain cool!
Other Notables: The bottom end cap is well vented with five holes. In addition, the factory flattened the end caps so the device will stand upright on your desk/table unless using with a large top heavy tank.
