Congrats, Pheisty! It's amazing isn't it? What oHms are your Silos, and your attys, btw? And have you tried them on another device or a meter?

Mim, one word: Awwwwwwwww ;(

One silo is 2.2 and the other is 1.3. My attys are both 2.8.

And hey, how long does it take to break these bad boys in (the attys) I'm having to feed it every other drag or I get the dry hit from hell.

No, I haven't tried them on another device. Unfortunately all I have is an Elite 808...and no meter.

I wonder if stacking these 3.2 volt 14250's is just too much? No one else seems to be having trouble so I wonder what's up?

I'm still here on ECF... sort of. ;)

Breaking in the attys is fairly easy. Give them a good soak with juice and let them sit for 1/2 hour (if you can stand the wait!).

I don't know if anyone else is having trouble because I think most people use just the one 14500 batt rather than the 14250s. I do think that your Silos are too low for the stacked batts. In fact, you said one atty is 1.3?? Hmmm...

I know I'm pushing the limit when I use mine stacked, but mine are also 3.7s not 3.2s. I can only use them with the Silo which is 2.8, but I prolly should not.

So much to learn! But that's okay... I live to learn. :)

I just ordered two 14500's at my local Radio Shack. I don't think I'm ready for that super high volt vaping! Lol

I also have the 14250's and a 2.2 silo.Yes it is too hot. Metal taste. One Silo 2.0 ohm was DOA for me also.It will not fire at 3.7v on my riva battery either.I should receive 2 of the protected AW 14500's tomorrow. I may try to mod on of my 1.7 Reserrector Carto for the 3.7V. Got to order some of the 2.8 or 3ohm attys.

Got some attys and silo cartos in today. Going to try them in a few days after I finish beating up the current atty.

Nice to see the 1.5 and 2.0 BF attys come with the new bottom seal already on them. The 1.8 and 2.2 silos have 2 of the old seals taped to the top of the package. Might be old stock but still very nice. Now I finally have backups. :)

Perfecto! I did the same. I know some die-hard high voltage folk are willing to sacrifice not having to deal with dry hits for phenomenal vapor production and throat hit, but I'm not. I'm sticking with 3.7 Volts. I'm sure I'll be perfectly happy there. :)

So I get the mail the other day & had a package...huh, I haven't ordred anything? Looked closer & read to Steph from John. My dear friend John sent me a black Vmod for my birthday!! Isn't that the nicest thing ever?! Thanks again John! I'd never even really thought about the Vmod, but he knew I was eyeing some box mod or other & surprised me.
So now to the task of batteries. I found this thread- I'm on page 15 of 80 reading through it. Lots of good info here! So today I ended up ordering AW IRM (? I think it was?) 14500 from COV along with some tobacco liquid I've tried before & really enjoyed. After reading so far about the hybrid attys, I must try them too, so a few of those in the order as well. John was kind enough to send silos in varying ohms, so looking forward to finding the sweet spot.
I've been happy with my original KR808 from V4L, then I tried the RoughStack from MadVapes- pretty exclusive on that with clearomizers these days. But I cannot wait to try this thing after reading about it! So freaking excited!!!! Let the stalking begin!!

Welcome to the vmod family shmoo!! I too came from kr8's to the vmod. Best move I ever made!! Little bit of a learning curve learning about atty's, and learning not to overfeed, but nothing complicated. The help here is awesome to say the least!!! I have asked some pretty "noob" questions and there was always someone willing to help out...

Thanks so much for the welcome :) Kat, thanks! Your name makes me want to rub up against you & purr :) & In my head you're pronounced KatDahhhhling - I like it!
I just realized I probably ordered the the wrong atty's - I double checked & sure enough, this particular atty doesn't specify bottom feeder- the ones their out of do. Shoot. I sent a message to them & hopefully will get it squared away before they ship it. Oh well, more things to look forward to when I can track the bottom feeders down. In the meantime I'm sure trying the silos will be fun!
So I have a silo soaking. Or, I put about 15 drops in the top & it's setting. I read something about soaking in a condom, so I wonder if I'm soaking it right?
