Me and my Vmod spent a few days at the coast fishing and the Vmod handled it like a champ. In and out my pants pocket it was always ready to go. No leaks, no hiccups and even survived going swimming in my pocket. Dried it and the battery off, blew out the atty and let it sit in the sun and dry for 45 mins and it fired up. salt water and FSUSA Desert Cowboy flavors don't blend very well, not sure if the salt water will have any long term effects. I did give it a good fresh water bath when I got back to shore. All in all I got to give it an A for a fishing partner.........

BTW: Placed an order with Vapage.com for bottles and attys on Tuesday and received my order on Friday. Great turnaround from the left coast to the right coast!! Keep up the good work filling orders..........

After fighting with my vmod for 3 days to get the catch cup installed, I actually got it to work -- sorta....at least it would finally fire 2 times out of 3 button pushes. Using a 1.8 silo and an aw imr 14500 it was ok....and at least no leaking with catchcup and new seals installed. So when it was time to refill the bottle, I decided to try the 2.2 silo instead to get a little less harshness.

So today I swap carto's and switch the rings etc from the one that worked to the new carto. Filled the bottle and put it back in slowly and carefully.

Now it won't even fire. I like things to be fairly simple, and I'm tempted to put this up in the classifieds since I'm getting sick of having to fiddle with it so much. But I can't in good conscience sell something on the classies that may or may not work.

Brian's already replaced the chassis for me and sent me extra carto's to make up for their shipping errors....but unless the new "complete" kit comes with all parts working and all parts installed I don't even want a new kit.

Even with the meh reviews of the revolution v2, I'm having a lot better luck with it as a bottom feeder. no replaceable battery, but it works.

What do you guys think? frustration's taking over, so wanted to get your opinions before emailing Brian. If anyone is handy at fixing these things pm me an offer....1 black vmod, 1 old and 1 new chassis, 2 1.5 atties, 2 2.2 atties, 5 1.8 silos, 2 2.2 silos, and 7 2.8 silos.

jb....

I know the user-installed catch cup could be a ........I had problems with one of mine too.
Kept popping the pin out of the bottom of the connector.
Please contact Brian.
I know he's sympathetic to your plight with the cup.
He told me he sat at Vapefest and installed almost every one of them for the Vmod's he sold there.
The complete kits coming out are supposed to have the cup pre-installed.
I'm sorry it's been so frustrating...you deserve a fully functioning mod for your patience.

thanks, ag -- it's your fault I'm here at all  I'll email brian tomorrow

I'll take full responsibility for when it's all working the way it's supposed to work, and you love it too. ;)
Once again, I'm sorry it's been frustrating for you.
I've been pretty lucky with my 3 Vmods...other than that one catch cup.
My hybrids have worked great & I love the dang things.

I think for the most part most of us are AG ok on the VMOD now. I'm also sorry for those that are having issues. This thread is still open for people that have questions about it and I'm sure everyone here will be happy to help.

jbmcdan, I know full well the frustrations you have had. We WILL help you get thru this. Hopefully, you will once again fall in love with the VMOD. Any new device will have issues. Any. Up to and including the most expensive, the most advanced and the most valued. That's where ECF shines. More specifically, that's where the people here shine.

Stay with it and we'll help where we can.

I want to thank everyone who has been posting all the helpful hints....as you all know I ordered the vapefest kit but was sent the regular kit...so I had to install the seals and catchcup. Found it pretty painless! used some mineral oil on the bottom of catchcup and it slid right in place. Now if I could get the usps to bring the batteries and the rest I would be in business.

In the future I hope they some how reinforce the neck and threads on the bottle! Plus a small removable piece of foam rubber that conforms to the curvature of the bottle to support it during the feeding process would help tremendously ! As I feed it with VG juice "mostly all I vape" it puts a lot of strain on the top of the little bottle.Causing leaks and damaging the threads.

Might just be me ?Am using the new bottles I ordered now.

Hmmm. I may have to look at some of the foam that I have laying around.

I just got some of the bottles off the website. They seem to be a softer plastic and not as cloudy as the original bottles. It doesn't take as much of a squeeze as I did the originals to feed the juice. They come in a two pack w/ lids and a new silicone seal to go up in the metal cup that the bottle threads in to.

I did notice that a couple of my bottles weren't as squishy as the rest.

I use 100% VG and don't have leaks after I put an o-ring on the shoulder of the bottle. It screws in tight and holds firm in place

When you say lids, do you mean screw on lids, or do you mean caps (like the originals)?

Each 2 bottle kit had 2 screw on caps for the bottles and 1 seal that goes in the metal cup where the bottle screws in. My original seal had stayed up in the metal cup until I screwed in one of my new bottles. When I unscrewed the bottle the seal was still on top of the bottle. It appears the new bottles fit more snugly into the seal.
