On the Boges, they saturate easily, especially if you're using the loose carto technique. They don't perform well then. Very weak vapor/flavor. Find the fine line between soaked and dry and you'll like them a lot better. It's worth blowing out the extra juice and sort of starting over.
There's different prefs for sure. The Silos taste nasty to me, even after soaking in alcohol. More so than Kangars and some of the generics. I vape zero flavoring sometimes, and I don't get any foreign taste at all on Boge 2s, CE2s, Echos or the big smok EMDCCs.

@Proax. Exact same observations here. But the thicker ones last longer. And I'm trying to remember to only squirsh down low so as not to stress the neck.

Nasty? Really? Statements like those are what negate many of your statements to me and others. I find most cartos to mute flavor so much that I can't stand using them. The Silos and other bottom coil cartos produce a much more flavorful vape. I don't think it's just me who believe this to be true.
Once again buddy....it's not what you say, but how you say it. Try taking a lesson in tact sometime. There is no reason to insult someone else's preferences in favor of your own. This is why you and I keep butting heads here.

I'm very familiar with cartos in general and boges specifically. I have flooded the boge and know the difference when it's in that state. I appreciate the help, but again - my preferences are to the silo, hands down. I HAVE found that fine line between soaked and dry, and yes, they are better when not flooded, but they still perform badly, negatively affect the taste, etc. Could be my juices or just my preferences, but to me they are not any good at all. At best, they still kinda suck for me. What you say about the boges easily flooding, especially unmodded only further serves to prove my point. A carto that is engineered and designed for this mod will simply work better. No surprise there. As for your preference on TASTE, well, that's just a preference. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'm glad they work for you. But for ME and the vast majority of VMOD users I've spoken to, they fall FAR short in both taste AND performance.
With what I vape, I can't tell much difference between a silo and a freshly dripped atomizer. That's really nice. Boges (and many of the others you mention) either mute the crap out of the taste, introduce some other alien flavor, or both. I used to use cartos exclusively until I found out how much flavor I was missing by not dripping. Now the silos, some bottom coil cartos and some CE2s are all I will use.
I'm not going to sit here and tell you the boges are crap because they are not. A lot of people like them on a lot of equipment, and that's fine. Taste is subjective and depends on many personal factors, so I can understand you or anyone else saying your taste preference runs toward a boge. But I think you are probably in the minority here trying to tell us all that they objectively outperform the silos on the vmod. Because they simply don't.

Changing the subject a little. Should a new (unused) out of the package 1.5 ohms hybrid BF Atty show 1.5ohm on an ohm meter? My meter is reading 1.7ohms on the last 4 I tested new out the package. Bad batch of 1.5 attys maybe??
Almost every atty I have tried from anywhere usually has up to a .2 diferrence + or -. I have found it rare to find spot on when it comes to atty resistances.

Hmm -- can't believe this discussion about carto's is still going on.
For me -- I like change. I use both silo's and other brands & configurations. I've also tried some I will never buy again -- but Boge and Vapage Silo are not on that list. Gees, at one point it seemed everyone was only liking atty's and I was the rare duck who used the silo's too. I'm glad there are now several silo fans as well as atty fans.
And, I do know some of my rejected brands/styles are Rave Successes for others. I just don't talk about them much and that works best for me. Strong likes and dislikes happen in the vaping world every day. About the only things that have across the boards agreement are: Crab juice sucked; Vaping is much better than the analogs!

I myself just threw away a whole pack of bottom coil 510 Kanger cartos...they tasted like plastic to me. I happen to love the Boges...but I have had Boges that were horrible...I ordered packs from two places and one must have been older stock/style because they weren't all that good...while the other pack was/are perhaps the best cartos I've ever used. So consistency is maybe an issue with carto production...I mean...I've even had varying experiences with cartomizers within the same pack.
I didn't like the Silo carto...I preferred the Hybrid Atomizer. So I like Hybrid Atomizers better then Silo cartomizers...it's just my opinion...and everyone should be able to have an opinion even it's it's not the same as the vast majority.

I've given up using my Vmod as intended, I bought an extender from Madvapes and put a tank on the top of it. Works great.
Seems we all like what we all like. Recommendations are great, but still just recommendations. Attitude however, is another issue. None of us wants to be carto nazis, do we? Welp, maybe ...

Just a quick update on my VMOD , After two month's still no leak's and working like it suppose too . I have gone through 5 atty's tho , one lasted about a month and the other's a little over a week of very heavy usage .
