I suggest (having never been to Texas before) that multiple people go to texas so that when one gets tired of slapping TexasT another can take over

Although I can say that most of the people I like and get along with are smartasses...so...well..you know.

Eventually, I'm going to have to come to Texas and slap you! Retirement - I truly can't imagine that right now (must be nice). On the reverse side (of you!), I can tell you that weekends are meaningless when a person is an online college instructor. I've been working seven days a week! But, the breaks between quarters are very nice.

By the way offtopic, in last week's discussion in one of my Organizational Behavior courses, we talked about stress. This ended up in a discussion about smoking and health. I ended up telling the students that I vape. I received over 15 emails this week from students that are very interested! I gave them the link to ECF. Perhaps I can start converting my students!

TexasT...Greetings from the Evel Empire smack dab in da middle of NC...Home of big tobacco Brother..Now I've been a putin` this off `cause I was afeared we might get to hittin it off..See I'm a farm boy too...well at 50 I ain't hardly no boy no mo...One thing you and I agree on is a good place to sit...well it's a good place....One thing you gotta clear up though...now we got some green tractors....you know the ones with the yellow rims...I see your's is green with red rims....can't say that they sell that brand here...What is it...?? and what pray tell you been a pushin` wid dat big old bumper.....Now at 50 I can't call retired without raising eyebrows...we don't need no extra attention..I live Friday all week too Brother...prefer to call myself a Man of Leisure.....Yeah...Puffing the FSUSA........and waiting for the mailman......

I'm sure you've heard of it, but its a 85hp German made 1986 Deutz tractor with an air cooled engine. One fine machine. If you look at my avatar you'll see lots of trees and brush behind me and that's what that bumper is for. And talking about places to sit, the tractor has a real nice seat my wife got me for Christmas a couple years ago. Like riding on a Cadillac.

I pull a 6' Rhino bush hog with it and if the tractor can push it over the Rhino will chew it up. Also have a big, heavy box blade (not one of those Farm Supply ones) and most other stuff a guy needs. Its not the biggest made, but it does what I need.

I actually don't do any farming but my place is too small to call a ranch. I guess I'm a gentleman rancher because my son-in-law does most of the work. We are planning on replacing some fencing soon so we can run a few more cattle though. But I won't have to do any of that either.

And El Dee, I love all these Friday's!!!

Well, yeah, there is an old Chevy truck up on blocks and I have the transmission. Its still in the bathtub. Need to move that thing one of these days. And there's no telling what a guy could find if you got to poking around out there in the yard.

We like to sit out there at night and play "What Just Ran Over My Foot?" And listen to all the noises back in the woods and talk about everybody and vape. I have a goat out there to mow the lawn but haven't seen him around lately. Hummm, she mighta cooked him. Sometimes I just sit out there and pick dog hair outta my belly button when I'm bored.

So if you want to mow the lawn c'mon down. I know there's treasures out there because a lot of times when we take a load to the dump we bring back more than we took.

Hey, here's the local news. My granddaddy died a few weeks ago and left everything to his widow. But she can't touch it until she's fourteen. And my wife got stopped by the local cop on her way to work the other day and he asked her if she had an I.D. She said "About what?" And I got real mad the other day because my favorite hunting dog had a litter of pups in the living room and nobody noticed. Yessir, I was upset.

That's all the news.

I had a goat once....we called him blackjack....causing he was black and white and so cute....he was a baby then, heck, everythings cute when its a baby...then they grow up, (now where was I?) oh yeah...well it came to be that at one of our hootanannys some dumb fool fed him pepsi....that was it...that goat became the biggest PITA. Knocking things outta everybodys hands to get it... climbing on picnic tables....followin ya around and head-butting ya. So happens that a lady over on the other side of the hollar had her a girl goat....

I often wonder just what did happen to him? Well, at least he aint bothering us anymore. thats a good thing....cept my yard still needs mowed.
