The World of RBA/RDAs. What should I do.

I want to jump into the world of rba/RDAs and I am getting a bunch of feedback from friends/fellow vapers. I just want to know what I need to do to prepare for building these devices. I hear battery type, mod type, and other factors coincide with building1 ohm and sub-ohm devices. I just want to make sure I have what I need when I jump in. I currently have a smok Magneto kicked with both flat top and button top EFEST 1000 mAh 18500 batts. I am ordering the IGo-w and AGI devices to build on. Any help and advice is appreciated from any angle.

I have the AGI, its pretty versatile (gotta watch that hot spring though in genesis mode), luckily they include spares. I dropped one down the drain. The hot spring in the AGI is intended to give way in an over current/short circuit situation. I hear people replacing them with other materials to allow them to vape at lower ohms.

Personally, I don't vape below 1.5 ohms, so the spring has never popped on me. Then again I haven't used it much. A good deal of research is required, as per the previous poster, particularly if you intend to sub-ohm. Aside from that, a multimeter or ohm meter, some wicking material, and some wire.

Allow me to rephrase. I would like to join the group of vapers who build their own devices. I'm not necessarily speaking of sub-ohming but rather entering the rebuildable phase of vaping. I have looked at ohms law, watched countless videos on wrapping coils, and asked my friends about what they do. I just want to be sure what I have will work for what I plan to do. I understand that safety is key and plan to be safe and not blow my hand off due to battery issues. Just wanting some advice on what others have experienced.

Rebuildables are nice. Actually I am just leaving the RBA phase myself. You can rebuild Protank heads and Vivi Nova heads, and a bunch of others as well, without a purpose made rebuildable device. This is how I started, then I went to RDAs and then genesis style RBAs. I started with single coils, and I'm ending with single coils. I am satisfied. But its fun to try new things, different wicking materials, twisted kanthal, micro coils, dual coils, triple coils, etc.

A meter is essential. Very, very, important.

Thats my experience. Glad those videos are out there, we should take time out to say thanks to the guys/gals who make em.

I really enjoy my V2 Magneto & igo-W, fantastic value for some great pieces of hardware. I have no idea what your skillset is in terms of rebuilds, but for me, I started learning by way of re-coiling and re-wicking my protanks.

Just be sure you have a Ohm meter, definitely a must have item regardless if you have a APV that can check your resistance. As for getting into rebuildables, do it right and you'll definitely stick with it; impossible to match the flavor, vapor and smoothness of a RDA with any prebuilt topper.

Thanks Hawaii. I have an ohms meter in the cart with all the RBA stuff and im looking into getting an APV like the Vamo or MVP version 2.
