Hello everyone, this is my first review (first of many I hope) and I'm going to be talking about the new Yeti-510 I got from ElectroNicStix. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places, but there really don't seem to be many reviews dedicated to the 510. I figured I'd talk about my experiences with the device and ElectroNicStix.

First, I have only been e-smoking for about a month now and I have been very satisfied so far with the products and the experience. I started with a 901 which was actually working perfectly until today when one of the batteries started lighting up all the time and won't power the atomizer. But, this isn't a review about the 901, its about "the beast" 510/Yeti.

I ordered the 510 last friday (5/22/09) and were it not for memorial day, I would have gotten it on monday, but I had to wait until tuesday to get it from the mail room at my apartment. Within minutes of ordering the yeti, I had already received confirmation on the order and shipping (WOW!). I picked ElectronicStix because of the low prices, the color combos, and cheap shipping. I decided on the black 510 with green LED and also ordered a pack of blank carts and a bottle of the 36mg Menthol liquid.

Okay, "so how does it run", you may be asking. Well, I absolutely love it. The package is tiny and all that, but I honestly don't care about packaging as long as its secure for shipping. I opened it up, dropped some Menthol liquid and let 'er rip. My first reaction was that it kind of tasted weird, but after the liquid started flowing, it was pure menthol-ly goodness. (NOTE: the Menthol liquid was great from ElectronicStix)

I'll start with the Pros:
-Makes liquids taste fresh and clean until the cart is DRY
-Produces TONS of vapor; the plume was easily 3x that of my 901 (size and vapor density)
-No cut off = very impressive clouds to demo for analog smokers :p
-Matte black/green is a cool combo and it feels like a much more expensive piece than my 901.
-Round mouthpiece/cart is much more natural than the "black&mild" tip of the 901.
-Manual switch is nice and I understand the purpose of it, but I do miss the ability to puff no-handed in the car and while typing.
-USB passthrough (actually from Altsmoke) works great and turns my yeti into a very versatile e-cig.
-Much less leakage compared to my 901.

Now for the Cons:
-Batteries drain quickly; I only get about 2 hours out of mine but they do charge in about an hour
-Sometimes get a weird bitter taste (don't know why)
-Carts dry out quickly; I find myself topping up just as often as I did with my 901.
-Spare parts are f****** expensive just about everywhere...hopefully they'll go down if more people start using 510's.

Ratings (out of 10):
-Vapor Production- 9
-Vapor Flavor- 9.5
-Battery Life- 6
-Cartridge Life- 6
-Device Quality- 8.5

I'd say overall that the Yeti is a great device for a more experienced e-smoker. I don't know if someone completely new to e-smoking would really appreciate the power and quality of the Yeti. If you've gotten into the swing of vaping and you want a device that will knock you out with taste and sheer vapor quantity, then the 510 is definitely for you. I picked mine up for 47.99 I believe and with a price like that, I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Thanks ElectroNicStix!

(just as a note, I had to pay for this with my own hard-earned money, so I can ASSURE you that my opinions were not paid for by ElectronicStix or anyone else)

I'll edit this post with periodic updates as I use it more.

I actually did want to add one more thing. I don't know if this is normal, but the two atomizers I got with my kit were not equivalent. The one I use for menthol produces about 2/3 the vapor of my Grape/Redbull atomizer. I dont think its the liquid because I did try some other liquid in the menthol atomizer and it still didn't produce as much vapor as my other atty. The good atomizer has a very clean interior with nothing sticking out of the bridge and the bridge is dead center. My menthol atty was kind of ragged looking inside with an off center bridge and some plastic thread looking material sticking out.

I can't figure out if my grape atty is just freakishly powerful or if my menthol atty is weak. Does the bridge position make a difference in vapor production? (I vaguely remember a thread about this but my search function never works on this forum)

Also, my brother got the same exact kit as me (with the same order) and had one battery with a weird connector that looked like it was never put all the way into the battery. It doesn't appear to work any different than the others but just looks kind of strange.

I started with a very inferior SE mini in march and was urged by these forums to order my yeti. WOW. I am in love with her. She vapes so much and I have had no atty or battery problems since I received her a month ago. Have ordered another kit just because. Can't wait for the pcc device and all my needs will be met. A great device! IMHO
