hello, I'm not exactly new to vaping. I had one a few years ago, it was a protank 2 on an eGo C twist 600mah and it was cheap as crap. I smoked cheap juice with no nicotine Andres did smoke tricks here and then but I never smoked nicotine liquids before as now I do so I can get off smoking cigarettes. I currently have a vision spinner 2 variable voltage and a mini protank 3 as you can see I'm kind of a protank guy.

when I first got my new vape, I used it a lot but one thing I noticed that was different from the last time I vaped was that there was a little cold burn on the back of my throat. I woke up the next morning with a sore throat and I ended up smoking cigarettes a whole day to stay away from that. then I thought that maybe it was the nicotine that was giving me that little burn and I'm starting to think more and more that that's true so I don't worry about it. it only happens when I haven't vaped for a little while or like in the morning when I wake up and I have my first vape I get that cold burn again. I'm learning to like it but it gets overwhelming at times. my question is is this normal is it a normal thing when you put your vape down for a long time and your throat isn't used to it does it happen then or is it just the fact that my vape isn't warmed up and the nicotine isn't burning right so it sticks to my throat any info would be nice thank you.

Throat hit is best experienced with nicotine and pg. Menthol and koolada both effect my throat to where I don't use either. You can try lowering any of these and see if they are the culprit. Staying hydrated (drink lots of water when vaping) could also be an issue. What is your nicotine level? What is the PG/VG makeup of the juice? What flavors of juice are you using (menthol?)? More info could help with better advice.

What are the levels of pg vg and nic in your juice? You might have a PG allergy. If it only happens when you dont vape for a while I suggest you vape all the time instead of smoking. :vapor:
I don't think it would be a PG allergy because two years ago when I had my protank and eGo C twist I had a 100% pg. those were the days. now I have a more advanced battery and tank and premium liquid that has more VG than PG, it doesn't say on the bottle I just know VG is the first ingredient listed. I bought it from a smoke shop run by some Russian dude that barely spoke English. I think it's just the fact that there's nicotine in it because any 0 nicotine juice I vape doesn't have the same effect. I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't something wrong with the tank and the battery compatibility or if I was doing something wrong

It could be a number of things but remember cigs have a chemical in it that numbs the throat so it won't be as harsh. It could simply be that when you don't smoke it is your throat reacting to missing that. When I quit smoking (anytime no matter what method I was trying) I always got a soar throat and a slight cough as my body adjusted to those chemicals missing. I also found that citrus things like orange juice effected me as well.

Forgive me. I could not find it. I may have been thinking about menthol or clove cigs. I do know that that sore throat and cough is a very common side effect of quitting smoking cigs. If I am able to look into it more later and I find what I was referring to I will come back and post it, but it is quite possible I was wrong to say that.

18 milligrams of nicotine.the flavor
I have a similar problem. My solution: I ramped down initially from 18mg. to 12mg. and inhale mouth to throat. I'm now at 1 mg. and no soar or burning in throat. I also found it also helps to take one puff at a time and savor taste between puffs. Cooling the vape via build to reduce heat of vape and length of drip tip (psychological-not sure on this one?) may help. Beauty of vaping, you can adjust almost anything to your requirements. Unfortunately some folks in government are trying to infringe on our persuit of happiness.
