Ok..this is the tale of my first major mishap with vaping. I had my Fog Log with cart, atty, tweezers and a bottle of juice. Headed to town for dinner with mom and girlfriend. I'm sitting at the table and had the Log in my shirt pocket and I'm looking at the menu...kinda leaning forward..resting on the table. I kept thinking I smelled something...but I'd been vaping Citrus Blast all day and it kinda was ever-present in my nose..so didn't think about it too much. By the time the waitress took our order..I was like.."I really smell something..."..then I heard the hissing...CRAP!! I grabbed the Log outta my pocket..still hissing...made the mistake of touching the atty and burned my fingers slightly. Grabbed a napkin and unscrewed it and pulled the cart off..it was nasty melted along with the filler. I just left it all apart and wrapped it in a napkin once it cooled down.

So I'm trippin' hard all the way through dinner...how am I gonna get home without a vape...nice dinner..no e-cig..not good! I had been down to like around 5 analogs a week..but I just said screw it..and stopped at the local beer store for a pack of smokes. I felt bad..but the nic hammer was beating me in the head.

The funny part was I got the smokes...walked out to the car..packed the pack..opened them and went...ohhh crap again!!! I actually didn't have a lighter..at all...! Had to go back in the store and buy one!! ROFL!! Anyway..I made it home..(went to mom's for coffee afterwards)...and I'm now happily vaping again..but it was a real eye opener for me, considering I haven't left the house without a lighter in 40 yrs of smoking. I actually just trusted the e-cig and completely forgot for a bit. It was kinda cool..:)

My first week of vaping, I left my 510 assembled in my pocket. I was at work kneeling down doing some work, suddenly I felt a burning sensation in my pants. Lost the atty on that one.

As for not having a lighter, I've run into that twice now. Where my batts would die before I made it home for the night and had to get smokes to hold out. Both times I had to buy a new lighter too.

I always bring wads of stuff with me! It is good to be a girl... a small USB flash drive case (CaseLogic holds 6) thrown in my purse holds LOTS of extra attys, several 5ml bottles of juice and a couple of batteries for my mod.

Your glove box is a great place to stash a few things too! I have a universal USB charger, usb power plug in, a few stock batteries and a passthrough in there just in case!

I've had the habit of putting my SE behind my ear and when I first started vaping, I accidently put a LIT analog behind my ear.... needless to say I was fine, just a few burnt hairs :p

Another time I had was when I didn't know what happened to my 510 and was looking around trying to find it.... then gave up and sat down figures it'll show up sometime.

....... yea..... it showed up allright....

Felt this strange warm feeling on my foot and then I realized "crap! my 510!!" and I quickly unscrewed it but it was too late. No matter how hard I tried cleaning the atty it wouldn't give.

I still cry... here and there... *sniffles* R.I.P. atty... your short 5 mins of life was just too short...

HeHeHe... Back in the day I'd snuff out my smoke before entering a customers site; on more than one occasion, I've have customer say, Umm your pockets smoking or behind your ear, your smoking.

I recently had a box mod fire up in my computer backpack while sitting with a customer. :?: OMG it was hard to down play the melted plastic aroma wafting in the air. Note to self turn "off" the master switch and remove the atty.

I had to laugh at that one. I had a habit of putting pens and pencils up there too when I work and I used to keep a spare .... up there too sometimes. So I can understand how habits can be cross-confused!

I have had my eGo go off in my pocket a couple of times so now I unscrew the atty a couple of turns to prevent it from happening again.

This is a really good idea. Just slightly unscrewed my atty to try it and it worked perfectly. This will definitely be a perfect method for me, seeing as how I always forget that I put my 510 in my back pocket and sit on it. I haven't lost an atty yet, but the battery has gone off a few times.

Thanks for the idea :)
