If they think we look ridiculous, they need to think back to the last time they struck the last match and wind blew it out or reached for their cigs and it was last one one the pack then in the haste to smoke it they either dropped in a puddle or it was broke at the filter and all of sudden oh no what am i gonna do. I'm reminded of a TV commercial from the late 60's where some guy lights a fuse with his last match and then is on his hand and knees chasing then end of the fuse to light his cig, and we look ridiculous. I've only had one guy with stones enough to say something to me about it to my face to which I replied. "OPINIONS ARE LIKE A*&HOLES EVERYBODY'S GOT ONE, AND NOW I HAVE TWO MINE AND YOU" end of conversation, however about half of the 15 or 29 people that were around there cracked up laughing, he left.

The problem is that the media twists stories to entice the outcome they see fit. I have seen editorials that depict some crazy equipment and people "cloud chasing" to portray the entire vaping community. This is what the public sees and therefore everyone is grouped within that mindset. I actually don't care what other people think I look like but as I am driving around an I see a whole lot more people vaping away that I did a few years ago. Evidently, other's don't care either! This is for us not the image. We will live longer and stronger for the choice we have made! Screw the image! My:2c:

I,m goin to agree You can't look cool vaping But who cares? It is so much better than smoking I don't mind looking a little Geeky lol

I always have a soft spot for a tribble, and this tribble is spot on. A Vulcan could not have said it better.

Have we pinned down exactly who "they" are yet? I think "they" were the ones behind the X-Files and Area 51. "They" say smoking is or is not cool, "they" say vaping does or does not look ridiculous. "They" say everything "we" say but somehow we don't really listen to each other or even to ourselves enough, we all just blabber. Fun, ain't it? :)

Yeah we look so ridiculous that there are about 7 vapers in the break room now, when their has only been me previously. And my first convert is now rocking and eVic and kayfun, with a Nemesis and flashi on the way. Have another near convert ready to purchase my Provari, charger and batteries next payday. Even going to make him 50 ml of custom juice to start his vaping journey.

We look so ridiculous that BT and Pharma is spending millions to lobby against out industry, trying to regulate and limit our right to vape and not smoke.

If I look ridiculous, at least I look much less ridiculous then that mature overweight, spandex dressed patron that just flicked their ash on the floor while dragging their O2 bottle behind them. lmao.

No. What really looks ridiculous is a grown woman standing in her kitchen bending over the electric stove, singeing her eyebrows and hair and trying desperately to light that cigarette on the burner when the lighter conked out and there are no matches in the house!:D

You've met my ex then!

This is the open carry mantra too. The idea is to normalize. People often have irrational fears based on lack of exposure, and lack of knowledge. People are afraid of things they don't understand.

I used to frequent a café owned by friends in VT, we all open carried.
The café was in a bad part of town too and curiously they never got robbed :)
