I am currently having to use an Aspire tank with the first mod I bought until my Melo 3 arrives. The liquid I've been vaping for the past year or so from the local vape shop is 60% vg and 40% pg. I put in a fresh coil and filled the tank with a new liquid I bought from Giant Vapes - BOV. It is also 60 vg and 40 pg. It seems to really clog the coil. It a lot harder to draw with the new liquid. Any ideas what could be causing this? I know the liquid I've been using is lighter in color than the BOV, and I know that vg is thicker than pg, but what could be causing the difference? I could see if the new liquid had a higher vg content, but it doesn't. Do you think I'll have the same issue with the Melo 3?

Sure you didn't turn the air flow control or something? I Always have to reset it myself. No offense...

Wow, a lot of time. Anyway, I would put a drop or two on separate spoons and just observe the movement. Obviously, a thicker liquid will move slower. Shake both bottles up first.

If they are different, something funny is going on. Especially, if the flavors are similar in recipe. To me, that would be the only variable.

There is a lot of trial and error with vaping. Have you considered mixing your own? You would have a lot more control.

    Good luck!

60/40 in my opinion is thin e-Liquid and as @r77r7r stated check the airflow and you might want to check inside the atomizer itself because one time I had a basically new coil clog out of nowhere and it was a piece of lint from my pocket in the A/F hole. Also could be you flooded the coil and blowing backwards might clear it out.

    Good Luck

To clarify, I have been buying the same liquid for over a year... not using the same bottle of liquid for a year. I guess I didn't word that very well. The liquids are completely different vendors and flavors and after looking further, there doesn't seem to be any difference in the thickness, it just seems thicker when trying to draw, if that makes sense. Just a harder draw. I've been vaping since 2010 and have just been using a local shop to buy all of my stuff. I'm a creature of habit because I've used an Aspire tank and eGo battery for like 5 years (ish). I'm not familiar with all of the other options out there or the ins and outs of all of the hardware or lingo. I just recently bought a Funky 60w mod, and it's the first one I've ever owned and the first time I've ventured out beyond the Aspire/eGo combo. I started with the cigarette-style batteries with the cartomizers, so those are the only 2 things I have experience with as far as devices. I am really liking the mod, but have no idea about mixing my own liquid, or adjusting airflow. I don't think there is any way to adjust the airflow on the Aspire tank I have. Thanks for the advice on some trouble shooting options. My Melo should be here either today or tomorrow, so hopefully, I won't have the same issues with it.

I'm ashamed to admit that I'm an idiot. I misread the bottle that I've been using. It was 60vg/40pg. There was no problem with the liquid or coil. Just a bad case of dumba$$ery. And the dumba$$ery is strong, because I was filling the Melo for the first time and didn't realize it didn't come with a coil already, so of course, the liquid ran out like crazy. YouTubed how to take it apart to see if there was or wasn't a coil.. there wasn't, so I put the coil in, and I think we're in business. This is why I stick with the same ol' same ol'. I don't handle change well. There is a definite difference with 60 pg and 60 vg. Not sure I like the change. I need a vape sponsor or a coach. Ha!

I would have liked to change out the rubber rings from black to the pink ones they included, but I'm not sure I'm up to trying at the moment. *sigh*

Hey, don't be too hard on yourself. We all do something dumb at one point or another. If we didn't, then we'd all be perfect(ly annoying :p ). Plus later on down the road you can laugh at yourself.

Glad you got it worked out. One thing, though, that I probably don't have to mention now, is that I would always when getting a new tank take it all the way apart so I can familiarize myself with it. :)
