4. I know all the Beatles names and the Monkey's!

I'm also 58... and I actually photographed the Monkeys at a concert -- I think in Wichita. Want to know who opened for them? Hint... a brand new group with their first hit just climbing the charts... Up, Up and Away!

Ironic, huh?

And, yes, I recognized every single thing on your list!

Welcome Mbolack, good to meet you! 1951 was a good year to be born for sure! I never got to see the beatles, but I saw the Monkey's in Tampa. They were all much older then..but still fun!
Je, Welcome back! I remember the 60's because I was a good kid, I graduated from high School in 1969. But in the 70's..I kinda went a bit wild!
Nov. 11 a sad day for America!
July 21st, the day after my first marriage! A sad day for me! One small step backwards for womankind..lol

Thank you! Yes, I consider 1951 to be a great year to be born!
I graduated in 1968 -- a year early, but I was an over-achiever in those days! And press photography supported me through quite a bit of college.
Never had a cigarette until I was considerably past 30, though.
Smoked Djarum Menthols for the last 8 years or so..
Now 5 weeks without! Still have a drawer full of them sitting here.
What did you guys do with your leftovers? Too expensive to throw away! But I don't have any friends who smoke the menthol ones.

OK Mary -

I still say 'cool'.
I like 'pedal pushers' - now known as capris!
I know and love all the Beatles and Bee Gees.
I love Rod Stewart. Saw him 2x last year in concert. :hubba::hubba::hubba:
I remember petty pants (we called them 'pantaloons'), skorts and crop tops. I also wore them.
I had a princess phone.
I had a record player, 45's and a 4 track tape player.
My hair do was Sasson and my lipstick was whitish pink.
I remember mini skirts, but was forbidden to wear them (strict Catholic Parents)

M..You gotta get a name! I can't ponounce that! Look who she's asking if something is spelled right..lol! You are in the Women's Room, that means spelling doesn't count, nor do edits! We have one rule, play nice.
I was down to one pack of cigs, still have it unopened. Some gave them away, some still have them..just in case.
Hil I knew you would back me up!

I have an exercise for jowls, chin and neck!
Stick out your tongue! That's right..as far as it will go, try to touch your nose with it. Feel the chin and neck tighten up? You look goofy but it works, just don't do it with oncoming traffic..they may turn around and ask some questions! :p

Another one is to open your mouth and put a finger or two on top of your center bottom teeth. Try your best to close your mouth while applying downward presure to your teeth! DON"T let the teeth win or you will bite your fingers..8-o Feel the jawline tighten?

Last one grin, I mean grin big..like a lunatic! Feel the apples of your cheeks rise and harden? You should also feel the jowls lift and harden. Repeat..a lot.:D:D:D

These are silly situps for your face..you young girls can start now and delay the sag. It will also help give you those model razor sharp cheeks and hollows. Gravity works!!!

Thing that gives away my age...my I'd card LOL.

Last week, I got carded buying beer for the first time in years...I had to do a little happy dance when I got home lol. I have two older sisters who look younger than me, one is only 11mo older so not so much a big deal, but the other is 8 years older...not cool. It doesn't help that though I'm the baby of the family (grandkids not included thank you very much), I am also the tallest :( by over 4 inches. (sisters 5ft, mom 4ft 11in) I always have to be the one who sits in the pictures lol. Nobody has ever successfully guessed my age just by looking at me, course they don't always guess I'm younger than I am  lol. Truth though, now that people have stopped insisting I can't possibly be my daughter's mom, I don't care how old I look really, well, within reason.

Mary, wouldn't it be better to do at home while you are playing on the computer? I can just see co-workers looking at each other and pointing now!
Kelly, Carded! You lucky thing! The only time I get carded now is when some old guy (older then me even!) usually toothless and potbellied decides to flirt with me! Oh well..:p

 I'm sorry MaryKay. Hopefully your able to get away quickly when that happens. I'm 29 and everybody thinks I'm 12. (That's actually my nickname at work). Looks like I"ll be getting carded for at least another 10 years. Oh well.

Oh shut up Jennee!:D
I have a second husband that looked very young for a long time. He still doesn't look his age! I always wondered when people would ask if I was his mom (we are a year apart in age). Now we look about the same-ish age. he always complained he got carded and I didn't. I told him he would love it when he hit 30 and 40!

Like you already don't know! :p
1. Saying "Cool"..how 60's is that?
2. Saying 'Dish" geeze that was mom's era! (means cute guy for you young things)
3. But I like petal pushers!
4. I know all the Beatles names and the Monkey's!
6. I still think Rod Stewart is fab.
7. I remember spoolies, petty pants, skorts and crop tops. And I wore them!
8. I liked Elvis when he had hips!
9. I had a princess phone.
10. I also had a record player and 45's. I thought 8 tracks were so neat!
11. I loved my Mary Quaint style mini shirt and platforms.
12. My hair do was Sasson (cut by me!) and my lipstick was white.
13. I remember Twiggy before she was Lesley Hornby

Did any of what I just said make any sense to anyone here?

I remember all of the above as well as:

-The black wall phones with really long cords,
-Telephone numbers began with letters such as JE1-5555 (or jefferson1-5555),
-Movie theaters were the only air conditioned spaces and you could sit there all day,
-Women wore dresses and didn't work,
-Black and white TV,
-Pink sponge rollers for your hair,
-Earning money from collecting soda pop bottles via deposits,
-Fringe leather vests paired with boots,
-Having to shrink blue jeans in hot bath water while wearing them,
-40 inch bell bottoms,
-Polyester everywhere!
:cool::D;)

At least groovy has left the urban slang.

My Grands loved it..they always wanted to make a call on it!
I always wanted a leather fringed coat, finally got one in Wyoming..doesn't fit now, maybe when I lose just a bit more weight:p
I remember love beads, mood rings and feather earrings.
Leisure suits, Mike and I got married in matching ones!
Slam books in high school and 2 hearted steady rings.
Bolero jackets and Nehru jackets
Christmas displays downtown and Walgreens lunch counters.
Pop beads in pink blue and lavender and using beer to set your hair.
Falls of fake hair and hair dryers that had blow up shower cap looking things that fit over your giant rollers!
