Well I found out one of the things they don't tell you about smoking I mean you always hear about lung cancer and you have a few chest xrays and you think your in the clear. Then WHAM something else comes up I had a gall bladder attack back in December and they did a urine test as standard to make sure it was not kidney related. Well they found blood in my urine. I got the call right after having surgery to have my gall bladder removed and did not go right back to the doctor. A few months later I did go back in to see doctor for a routine check up and she brought it up and wanted another urine sample just to make sure everything was ok and they found blood yet again so I get sent to a urologist. Who demanded to know if I smoked, if i had smoked how long I smoked for how much I had smoked and when I had quit. He goes on to explain to me how smoking can cause bladder cancer and it ususally affects women smokers more often then men smokers. He then sent me for a cat scan to see if I had stones no stones found which is a good thing. However he also ordered another test without going into gory details they take collection for 3 days and you bring it back and they test it for cancer. Results have come back and I need to go in and get additional testing so it is a wait and see game now.
