Hi transamgrrl

Starting is always daunting the thing is you have started so try as many things as your wallet will stand until you find something that best suits you.

Ciggys in the UK cost over £6 or 9 dollars a pack so its a complete no brainer.
You will find your sweet vape be - resolute and read a lot on this forum.

Myself I would suggest you get a Megaladon that uses 18650 down to 18350 batteries. If you choose the right battery at around 2,300 Mah you will get a full 2 days vaping. Put a 510 dripping atty on and then you can really taste the flavours.

Into the future you may just try mixing your own liquids - I did eventually>>

Remember you are not only saving money but your health too!!!!!

I thought cigarettes were expensive here, lol! For sure a no brainer at those prices! I got my KGo kit last Friday, since then I've only smoked 4 cigarettes, and now none in over 2 days! My lungs already feel MUCH better! I've done a little research on DIY eliquid, from what I've read it would be about half the cost to mix my own vs. buying premixed. My favorite flavors are all tobacco flavors, I know how to mix up other flavors with candy flavoring, but not what to use for tobacco flavors. Happen to have any recipes? Thanks for your suggestions, eventually I will probably move on to something like you suggested that takes rechargeable batteries. I haven't heard of the Megaladon, who sells them?

Now you're just being disingenuous. You may well be able to get an internal / replacement battery for $4, but you're not going to be able to vape from it without the mod to put it in.
Ummm.... That would be the e-Power he was talking about in the first place.

So your $4 vs $15-$20 comparison is pretty absurd.
No, you need to read the post to which you are responding.

It's why people go to such lengths to put something down that works that has me curious. I don't understand what their motive would be. I know it's human nature to think that what you personally use is "the best", and to sing it's praises to all who will listen. But when they start relying on making something else look bad (falsely or otherwise) in order to make theirs look good, that's where you've lost me.
Read the numerous complaints, every single day, about the eGo T and C. Try to find an equal number of complaints about the kgo or even the e-Power. You have to go back awhile to find problems with the e-Power switch, but that's been fixed. The eGo T and C are just as crappy as they ever were.

Edit: The lowest I'm seeing reputable 18650's for is around $8 - $10. Though you could probably find a cheap knockoff (that's really safe LOL) from China for $4. But then you'd have to add about $16 shipping. So again it seems we have somewhat of a stretch.
I've used Trustfire and Ultrafires for 12 years now. Never a knockoff, never a problem. They're about $4-5 for 14650s and $7 for 18650's that have 3 X the capacity of a 650mah eGo. And they come with FREE shipping, so you evidently don't know where to look.

Were also talking about people just starting out here. By the time they're ready to start noticing or even caring about a 0.3v difference they'll probably be moving on to bigger and better setups anyway. While it may be a better vape for some juices it may not be better for others, and you can't adjust it up or down at all so it's not a huge advantage.
0.3V makes at least a watt difference. That's a 20% difference and that's only when the voltage drops to 3.4V. Much of the time, they run at 4V, so the difference is even more noticeable. It is very noticeable and it's a disservice to noobs to take the attitude of "they're just noobs so they won't know what they're missing".
