Well I bought a mod and a kayfun and after about a week of fiddling and trying to get it to work its just way too much of a hassle so I am probably going to sell it to my friend that wanted a mod and kayfun anyway. Now I currently tried to upgrade from mini nautilus and vision spinner 2 to mod but I kind of want to downgrade even further since I went through 2 vision spinners and 2 mini nautlius in about a month and a half so obviously I am not happy. Im sure you all know why i hate the mini nautilus. But now i was thinking about going back to the Halo g6 starter kit that i got started with vaping. When i look back it was so hassle free, convenient, and i didnt attract attention like the bigger batteries etc which are usually frowned upon by people in the general public. I use 12mg so I was wondering to make up for the smaller battery and vapor that i should upgrade to 18mg? Yes I know im going to end up spending like another $100 for a starter kit and halo ejuice which is expensive since its $20 for 30ml and other ejuice doesnt seem to work in the g6 cartridges. I really need a 2nd opinion on what people think of this plan. The g6 should last me awhile unlike the vision and mini nautilus which id have to keep rebuying which is like $50 a month even though i buy off mtbakervapor which has much lower prices than halo even though its also prob lower quality. What do you guys think? Are mods just an addiction hobby thing that smokers actually need.

I personally wasnt able to fully quit until i stepped up.
But everyone is different

After a provari playing took over until i discovered mechs. Then after i settled in playing took over again buf i was a superduty chain smoker so i needed some real kick

If you feel the cigalike is what would please you most go for it. There is nothing wrong with what makes you happy.

But i will suggest before that final downgrade try a simple carto tank on your ego. They arent talked about much anymore but they are about the most painless setup to use and they just work.

Need is defined by what works for you. When I quit smoking I did it with an eGo 3-piece system, so I can't quite empathize with this idea that the only things that "work" are a sub ohm anything that sets off smoke detectors or you can never quit smoking. There is a lot of choice in this game - don't be intimidated into not exercising your options. :2c:

I have to totally agree with Thrasher on this one, good advice! It might be a little more helpful to know what your ciggrette habit was? I was about a two pack a day user. I started with cigalikes, didn't cut it with me. But you may be diffrent. If you want to downgrade from a mod, and that works for you, then by all means do it. But I agree, before cigalikes try the ego with a cart. No hassle, better kick.

I like having lots of options. From off the shelf to build my on stuff. I once drove from TX to north Dakota with my kayfun and it was a bad choice! it kept flooding because of the elevation changes. Should of had my good old trusty carto tank for that trip. What ever keeps you off the smokes is whats important. everything else is just personnel preference.

The vision battery dies fast, and the biggest problem is the mini nautilus as i said before i go through about 1 every 2 weeks due to the base keep falling apart from gunk even after thorough cleaning I cant afford to buy another now.

How long the Vision battery lasts on a charge, if you vape the same amount of drags per hour, is dependent on the power it's putting out. The lower your atty resistance is the more amps it will draw at the same volts.

Your Nautilus should not be falling apart on you anywhere near so quickly. I'm not up on these type of devices, but I also don't see people complaining about this and a few people in this thread have said their devices last a lot longer. Hopefully someone here who is familiar with them can help you get past that. Have you talked to mtbakervapor about this? They are a reputable supplier and if there is something wrong with their gear they should do something to help you.

OTOH, you have vaped the G6 before and if you think that is better for you, by all means get another kit. If that solves the problem, or buys you time to regroup for a bit, it's a great idea. You are the only one who can know if it's right for you though.

Best of luck with it :thumb:

If you're thinking of getting something new, I would suggest checking out the Ego One. You should be able to find some video reviews easily. Around $50, can do .5 or 1 ohm or lung hits or mouth to lung, pass through charger and it's nice and small. I don't have one but I'm pretty interested in one and have read about them. The coils are only $15 for 5 so it seems to be one of the cheaper tanks when it comes to coils. I think I've read they last about a week or so? I'm sure it depends on the type of juice you use.

Either way, good luck finding the right set up for you.

I can see where you're coming from. This is just 1 person's opinion, but I think it very useful to have a cigalike type and a mod with a tank of some sort and a dripper as well, so I wouldn't get rid of your mod/kayfun unless you really just don't like the way it works.

When I'm out and about I like using a cigalike for the exact reasons you mentioned. It's very low maintenance and inconspicuous and when I'm out doing things I usually only want to get a quick nic fix so it works well for that. I do have higher nic liquid I use in that device though since it's not as powerful.

At home, I use a REO and love it. But having my dripper was a life saver when I was using my Kayfun because that thing was such a fiddly thing it was nice to have a dripper to vape on while I was messing with it. I still use my dripper often though as I like to have a puff of something different from what's in my bottle.

So, bottom line, I think there's room for both set ups in a vaper's collection as they each can have a place.

I'm very tempted to try to talk you into a different direction, but every person is different and you've got to go with whatever makes you happy.

Am am somewhat baffled by your Nautilus Mini problems though. I've read through your history to find out what exactly what the problem could be and quite frankly I'm stumped. I've never heard of anyone having similar problems on a single tank, much less getting several tanks that all have the same problems. All I can think of is there must be something you're doing, either the juice mixture, the wattage, or the way you're hitting it that must be causing the problems. I don't have the mini but I've had the name Nautilus tank for almost a year and haven't had any of the problems you're experiencing with yours.

If the G6 setup was working for you and you miss it, definitely go back to it. At the end of the day, it's your vape you need to satisfy. Other opinions are all valid, but yours is the only one that matters here. The G6 should work just fine with the Mt. Baker juices. Just choose a thinner consistency when you order. Choose their 65% PG to 35% VG ratio. Should work great. If not, do 80/20. Nothing wrong with a cigalike if you dig it.
