I saw a guy with an istick the other day and I was intrigued by it. I saw the post on here but at 10000 replies I'm not ready to do that kind of research... It has one of my main requirements in a micro USB charging port, I like simplicity, and just looks like a nice unit. I'm currently using the E-lvt and it works fine but it is pretty bulky and heavy so I wouldn't mind having a smaller option. I don't need this at all as I am happy with my e-lvt, the only negatives I can say about it are the battery really only lasts a full day and it is bulky in my pocket, but at the price point these are at I'm probably going to have to get one. Any good deals out there? My E-lvt goes up to 15 watts but I almost never crank it up past 10 and hover between 6-9 so would there be any reason for me to buy bigger than the istick 20watt?

I'm using a protank II and anything over 10 just tastes burned so I really don't know how people are using such high wattage?

On the subject of tanks I'm happy with the way my protank II vapes but I have a lot of issues with gurgling and I frequently get juice in my mouth and have to open it up and blow through it to clear it out, when that is not happening it is great but it happens a lot. I don't know if it is a lot of defective atomizers or what? Basically I'm not in to dripping or rebuilding so I just want a big tank that I can fill in the morning that will last me all day and one that I don't have to spend a bunch on atomizers but is still low maintenance. Any suggestions.

Feel free to throw some links up for the Istick or a good tank. Any vendors out there feel free to pm me with a deal, I'll have my credit card ready if you make me an offer I can't refuse.

If you are considering an iStick, you should avoid the iStick 20w and go for the 30w or 50w. eLeaf fixed a plethora of problems with the original iStick including its poor regulation and wonky threads. Eciggity has the Silver 30w in stock for $34.99 with an additional 10% off (code: 10percentoff). Eleaf iStick 30W Battery - Eciggity

A suitable tank for the iStick 30 or 50 would be the Kanger Subtank Mini. The problems you have with the Protank II would continue with the 20w since it fires way too high and you would be at the limit of the voltage requirements on that Protank coil even at the iStick 20's lowest settings. The Protank II coils only go up to 4.7v on the 2.6-3.0 ohm coils...less for the lower ohm coils. The problem then is that your E-lvt is over powering the Protank II when you go beyond 10w, it's just a limitation of the Protank II that won't get better with a different current mod. Eciggity also has the Subtank Mini in stock for $39.99 and you can use the same coupon. Kanger Subtank Mini - Eciggity

If you order both from Eciggity, the shipping is free to your location and no tax. Total to your door would be $67.48 for both the mod and tank.

Thanks for the help. I was about to jump on those prices but I decided to go check out my local mom and pop shop to see what they had first and I went ahead and bought the iStick 30 and Kanger Subtank Mini there. I paid about $30 more there but that included the whole iStick kit so I probably only spent about $20 more than I could have gotten on the internet and I got them to give me an 17% discount based on the prices you gave me. I'm ok with spending a little more cuz I got to haggle and I still supported a mom and pop. They also showed me how to build the rebuildable atomizer that comes with the mini and I may start doing that. So far I'm pretty happy. The flavors seem to come through much more and this thing hits like a champ.

Aron - your new setup sounds awesome!

I use a lot of PT2s, but I rebuild my coils and wick with cotton. I'm wondering a couple things about how you're running your PT2s - what PG/VG ratio? Are you using the stock coils? I never have an issue with leaking/gurgling. Build my coils to about 1.7-1.8 ohms and run about 8.5-9.5W. I'm wondering if your coil is seated well? Wondering if the tank itself is tight enough (not over-tight, but "snug") I run from 60p/40v to 30p/70v juices. Are you drawing too hard? You might be trying to pull more juice than you can vaporize for a given hit? I use slow, gentle draws (and even start firing before I start drawing) and draw just a tiny bit after I stop firing. That can help pull vapor from the chimney and keep it from re-condensing.

I just got a couple of the Subtank Nanos - I am digging them.... Completely different experience from the PT2s, for sure

There is something to be said for paying a bit more in order to get gear in your hand faster. It would have cost you more than $20 to get that shipped overnight so it sounds like you still got a great deal.
