Hey folks-- I lost my Vamo(in a cab!)and I'm thinking of getting a Tesla as a replacement--anyone have one--if so--how do you like it--is it too huge? I actually like the look and can live with the silly screen/button placement issue. The exposed battery thing gives me a few concerns--looks kinda cool though(I guess vaping in the rain is out!). I do like the spring loaded pin-- my Vamo was having issues with that(had to use adaptor with Vivi Novas in particular).

I've considering the Evic as well -- also the innokin iTaste SVD--probably will have to get something before they make it to Canada though-- Ego Twists don't cut it for me--lol!

I like my Tesla. The finish is much better than the vamo from what I can tell, no scratches on mine, no flaking etc and I'm not exactly careful with my mods lol. The screen thing is not that big of a deal you just kinda have to press the button from the side, or press it then move your finger away as you can see whatever is on the screen for a second or two.

Only real downside i've found is that you can't use T3's without an adapter. The EVODS work fine though.

The tesla is huge, but not unmanageable. The spring loaded center pin is also a really handy feature. From the limited time i spent with it i have to say the button placement is a bit strange, but i'm sure you would get used to it. Overall I would recommend that if you want one, go for it, it's a fine device. I just ordered a vamo, so i can write you a side by side comparison soon. I would like to mention though that the open slots down the sides of the tesla appear to be a dust/pocket lint trap... at least on the one my friend has :p

Thanks qorax --I saw that--definitely set him off-- his main beef was the inexplicable placement of the screen and buttons. I don't fiddle with the wattage very much so I figure I can deal with that. There's a lot of positive reviews out there also(just watched Grimm Green's). I think I'll give it a whirl--report back after I get the monstrosity --lol!

I doubt it would cause battery problems unless you really let it get out of hand. It does present a slight maintenance issue though and if, for example, you leave it sitting on a table and someone spills a drink on it it might be more likely to cause problems or at least be more of a pain to clean up than if it were completely sealed. As long as you don't let it leave your hand/pocket/mouth i don't really see it being a big deal though.

I like mine a lot, and I also have an eVic too. If you watched Grimms review, I agree with what he said, "everything just works great on the Tesla". The buttons being above the screen does seem a little silly, but in real use it doesn't bother me at all. I like the way it looks, I like gadgets and I would say the Tesla is a cool looking gadget. I would buy it again.
