im used to buying the 2.0 to 2.5 ohm coils for evod/protank but I hear a lot of people building them like 1.5 to 1.8 and I hear that on those smaller ones you can use less vv and make the battery last longer which I like the sound of

right now on my mvp im using a 2.3 ohm coil and I have it set to 4.0 v which is pretty much my spot.....between 3.8 and 4.0
I may be misusing the term RBA. I believe the acronym is for Rebuildable Atomizer. I think the "proper term" is RTA - Rebuildable Tank Atomizer.

I found the best build on the kayfun to be dual coil with a cotton wick on 28g kanthal. I wrap each coil with 10 wraps around a 2mm diameter piece of wire hanger;and, set the coils about 1/16th inch above the airhole. That build gives me right at about 1ohm R so I can fire the provari at 3.8v. The coil sits just inside the lower chimney piece. Posting pics hopefully they help and the post doesn't look like latin.
ok so this is totally different than rebuilding a protank coil by the looks of it.....

When I does built a kfl I was kicking myself in the .... for fighting with kanger coils for so long.
It you can do a pt coil the kfl is going to be a cakewalk.
ok good because I will probably be starting off with the pt coils first until I am able to move to the kfl or the clone, so it will give me some practice lol......want to be able to do both anyway just for the experience.
Just don't let the kanger builds scare you off from RBAs and check out some you tube vids to learn.

ya I have been watching a lot of them so I have a good idea already of what im going to be doing....also watched a couple today for the kfl.......im thinking I want the bigger tank tho....I think the 3.1? I like to have as much juice in as I can lol. Not sure the difference in ml between the 2 but the more the better for me.
one thing im a little confused on is in some videos I see them using a torch after the coil is rebuilt and some I don't and some say don't let the wraps touch but on others I see them squeeze them together so they are touching and then torching them....is this a preference or a diferent build for a different coil or tank or what lol.
by the way, I want to thank you for all the help you have given me, this thread has been totally helpful to me......all of you......its nice to have people actually take the time to answer questions for us newbies, I feel like im getting exactly the answers I need.

If you're doing a spaced coil, you don't want anything touching because it will create a "hot spot" (electricity taking the path of least resistance). Microcoils, where everything is pushed together, are different because the current runs through the coils pretty equally. So you want either spaced or pushed together, but not a combination. Different builds work better for different devices; I like microcoils (pushed together) in my drippers but spaced on my Kraken (Genesis-type atomizer).
also I like to help all my other friends in turn who are also trying this because of me......this last year ive made a lot of changes with the weight loss and now the smoking thing so I have a lot of people who are following my example because they have seen my results.
ok so together is a micro coil and I can do that on my protank and devices and can I do the same thing when I get my provari? with the protank and or the kfl
Yeah what you saw on the pics I posted is a microcoil.
Same concept on both the pt and kfl.
On the pt you jut wanna make sure the coil doesn't hit the wall of the head, otherwise it'll short basically. On a reg mod like the provari, it won't fire as a safety feature.
