Hi all

So I have been vaping around 4-5 months now.
I use a bolt and a vmax 4

tanks are smoktech screw tanks and dct

I'm just starting to get thicker 100 vg justices and better tasting from vendors

I see some nice full aluminium and rebuildables, should I stay with what I have or go to the next level

Cheers

Thicker juices wont wick too well with cartos & hence carto-style tanks. To get the most out of it you'll need to take the next step & get a rebuildable which poses the challenge of being finicky with a learning curve and a variety of materials you'll want to get to play with until you find what you like. #500 SS mesh is ideal for wicks as it serves as a capillary feed best. Then there's Kanthal wires. Higher gauge = smaller diameter and greater resistance. Whereas lower gauge wires have larger diameters but lower resistance. 28 gauge wrapped 4-5 times can make it around 1 ohm. You can also twist higher gauge wires to cut the resistance in half and some say also increase the surface area of the wire producing more vapor. At any rate, with rebuildables there's a lot of info out there but what's best is how you can really tweak them to exactly how you want them to produce good vapor and great flavor. They're just different and a bit more of a pain in the (neck) to fiddle with to get going & even the vape technique is a little different. As with any change it may seem weird at first but once you get used to it you might just find that its hard to go back. Oh, & 100% VG shouldn't be a problem with them either.
Cheers!
